The next day Legosi and Jack attended their classes like usual. This time however, they were able to attend their classes without distractions or worries for the first time in what seemed like forever. The day ended and Legosi headed for the drama club. He was still hesitant about what he was going to tell Jack, but after reliving the day they met and thinking about everything they talked about, the wolf knew he had nothing to fear.
Legosi arrived at the club early like always and saw that Louis was all alone. He remembered what the red deer told him yesterday and figured this would be a good time to talk.
"Hello Louis-senpai," the wolf said happily. "I see you're here early."
"As are you," Louis answered sarcastically while still looking down at his checklist. He turned to face the wolf, "Is there something you wanted?"
Legosi put a hand behind his head, "I uh...I want to ask you if things were alright. I remember you saying the journalism club has been bothering everyone here and I wanted to know if there was any way I could help out."
Louis looked to the side then back at the wolf, "The best thing you can do is to stay out of sight. Once we make everything for the meteor festival they'll have plenty of other things to occupy themselves with. Until then, see if you can check on the others every once in a while to make sure they aren't getting into trouble."
"Of course senpai," Legosi responded. The wolf looked to the side and then back at Louis, "Hey Louis... can I ask you something?"
"Whether or not I say yes, you're gonna ask anyway," the red deer replied. "So you might as well get on with it."
"Oh um... right," Legosi said awkwardly as he looked down and put a hand behind his head. The large carnivore looked back at the deer, "Well... let's say you hurt someone, but that person didn't know you hurt them. What would you do?"
A look of confusion crossed Louis's face. He didn't really understand the strange question, but figured it must be an important one if such a timid animal would ask him it. Louis lifted his pen to his chin, "Well, I suppose I would tell that person what I did and then I'd apologize for it."
Legosi nodded, "Thanks senpai, I figured that was the right thing to do."
"You're quite welcome Legosi, though I must say, that was rather bold of you," the herbivore said with a smirk.
Legosi's eyes widened, "What do you mean by that?"
Louis crossed his arms, "You were always so quiet and tried to do anything to avoid me. The only time we ever talked was when the club demanded it and even then you tried to keep things short and professional. Yet, here you are asking me a rather personal question."
The red deer grinned, "You could have asked your new friends, but instead you came to me. The head of the entire club, who you know is busy getting things ready. Yet you ask me something that has nothing to do with our work."
Louis giggled a bit, "I must say Legosi, you continue to surprise me."
Legosi blushed, he quickly put his hands up and backed away from his upperclassman in embarrassment, "I-I'm sorry senpai, I didn't mean any disrespect."
Legosi looked down, his ears and tail drooped.
"I just... I thought that you would be the best person to ask," the wolf said in a melancholy voice.
Louis got annoyed by how easily the wolf backed down. He knew that Legosi wasn't like other carnivores, but he just couldn't seem to figure out why. Suddenly, the smaller animal had an idea, "Don't worry about it. Though if my underclassman thinks he has the right to ask me a personal question, then am I right to assume he'll grant that same liberty to me?"
