Chapter 13

Aaron and Nathan are meeting Shain and Charley by Shain's apartment building, to go and have lunch with Shay. When all of them gathered in Shain's building lobby they decided to walk to the diner since it is really close. While they were walking a guy called out for Shain and was waving at her. "Hey Shain how are you? I got the cake that you sent me."

Aaron whispered to her sister loudly "Shain isn't this the homeless guy that use to live around the corner." The guy heard Aaron and responded "Actually I'm not homeless anymore. I haven't been homeless for a year now and I like to thank Shain for the support and inspiration, because she is part of why I picked myself up and put my life together. Now my ex lets me see my daughter again." Charles looked at shay amused "I thought he was dead. Isn't that what you said Shain." Shain nervously exclaimed "oh my god Harvey your alive. I thought you were dead." Harvey responded confused "what are you talking about I saw you yesterday at my door store remember? I texted you about the sale?"

Charles cut in "wait so you sell vintage doors?" Harvey turned to Charles "Yeah but I always give Shain great deals." Shain trying to explain "Charley I can explain."

On the side Nathan asked Aaron "What is going on here?" Aaron amused by her sister "I think Shain lied about a door and a dead homeless guy."

After the group conversed with Harvey, they started making their way to the diner again. Then. Charles said to Shain "So you wanted me to stay in that closet?"

"ppft, don't flatter yourself..."

"Honestly I don't care, let's just go. You just keep getting weirder and weirder."

When they finally reached the diner they sat in a six-person table waiting for Shay. When she finally arrived she found them sitting there sipping on their milkshakes. Shay sat down with them "you guys look so cute together." Aaron took a deep breath and held Nathen's hands under the table, then started "um Shay, Nate and I have to leave soon. We have a movie to catch." Shain also added right after Aaron "Charlie and I have to go too, because I need to go to Ikea and I just don't want to go alone." Shay confused yet pleased "well you could have asked me, but I get it, you guys want to do cute couple stuff." As Aaron and Nathen stood up to leave, Aaron said "well we kind of had a feeling you would be busy." Shay got distracted by a guy that just passed by the window "ow guys look at that cute guy, he looks so fine."

The guy walked into the diner and sat beside Shay "hey guys, sorry I'm late" Shay was shocked and confused; she stared at the handsome guy sitting beside her and then at her cousin, giving her a what the hell look. Shain just smiled innocently as Charley introduced his friend "Shay this is my best friend from high school Steve. The one that enlisted with me in the army."

The cute guy turned to Shay and said "Hi, you must be Shay; I'm Steven Stryker."
