2 hours earlier

It has been a while since Shain and Charley got locked in the closet. The small room was getting colder; Shain figured her cousin might have been the cause of that too. Charley has been trying to get them out for the past hour. He tried knocking at the door for someone to open it, but Shain knew better than to waste her energy on getting anyone to open the door. She knew Shay well enough to know that they were all long gone by now. So she began "Stop knocking, no one's here."

Still angry at the situation, Charlie replied "how do you know that?"

"because I know Shay and her plans are always extreme."

"but what if we need to use the toilet what are we supposed to do?"

"I don't think she thought that far ahead" Said Shain.

He then tried sticking a bobby pin in the key hole and wiggled it around like they do in the movies but it broke. He tried to pull out the hinges and insisted that he knew what he was doing; Shain just stood in the corner looking at him like he was crazy. When that didn't work he shook the door in frustration. Shain was startled by his sudden burst of anger. She hurried and grabbed his arm pulling him back. Then started Shouting at him "Stop! You're going to break my door and hurt yourself doing it."

Charley stepped back in shock. Then began "are you serious?! I'll buy you a new door."

Lowering her voice, Shain replied "I don't want a new door. I like this one."

Trying to reason with her, he said "I'll get you an identical one."

With a sad voice Shain answered "you can't."

Trying to convince her to let him break the door, Charlie started again "yes I can. I'll just take a picture of it and give it to a carpenter who will remake this door it might even look better than..."

Shain interrupted him "stop you can't, it's a gift"

Charlie confused "the door?"

"yes"

Skeptical, Charlie responded "who gives out doors as gifts?"

Then Shain snapped back "It doesn't matter whom it's from, it's the thought that counts."

Over the whole situation Charlie sighed "I don't even know why I came here in the first place."

calmly Shain responded "Shay asked you to do something for her and you stupidly fell for it and now we're in this shit."

Charlie rolled his eyes "here we go. Accusing me again."

In a sassy tone Shain whispered "It is your fault."

Charlie heard what she said then he snapped back at her "How is it my fault? You know what? Forget it."

Shain offended by his action "Excuse you."

After a moment of silence Shain sat down while charley kept moving in frustration.

Out of nowhere he yelled "I'm breaking the door!"

Shain rushed in front of Charley and stood between him and the door with her arms stretched wide protecting it " NOOOO! This door is a gift from the poor homeless man who lived at the corner of my street. He gave it to me before he passed away thanking me for always being nice to him."

Shain's voice getting shaky and eyes watery "He had nothing but this door. It was his roof, his home, his everything."

Charlie shocked "Are you crying?"
