The Campbells

Chapter 3

Shain walked to one of the rooms in her apartment that she turned into a walk in closet, and said to Nate, "let's go we have things to do."

Aaron turned to look at her sister and said "listen Shain it's the weekend you really need to chill"

Angry at her younger sister's behavior, Shain shot back "you have no right to say anything with all the damage you have caused."

Trying to cool Shain down, Shay stood between the two sisters "calm down."

"I see nothing has changed." Said Charlie walking in behind Shay.

"Oh don't worry it's just her time of the month" responded Aaron as a matter of fact while pointing at her sister. Shay slapped Aarons hands down and tried to change the subject "Shain isn't it nice of Charley to come all the way here to our apartment and help us fix those broken shelves."

Shain snapped at her cousin, "It's MY apartment! And it's just a stupid shelf I can fix it myself."

Then, she grabbed a stool to reach for the broken hinges of the shelf and when she stepped on the stool she lost her balance and fell but Charley caught her mid-fall. Charley held her for a little to long for her liking but he had to make sure that she was stable on her feet. Shain pushed Charley's arms off her stubbornly refusing the helping hand, which started an argument between them.

Mean while...

Shay whispered loudly to Aaron "Oh My God! Look at how he is embracing her."

"He just held her arm" Aaron looked at her cousin weirdly.

"They're falling for each other." Shay sighed happily. "They are arguing" Aaron scrunched her eyebrows puzzled by Shays words and doubted if they were seeing the same scene unfolding in front of them.

Shay continued " They are so in love." Ignoring what her younger cousin just said Shay asked. "Why are you not reacting? This is your sister's future."

"Well, you are reacting for the both of us" retorted Aaron.

Standing beside Aaron, Nate butted in "Guys, what's going on?"

Shay annoyed by his existence, pointed her finger at him "Shush."

"What did I say now?" said Nate taken back.

"Stop ruining everything Nathan this is an important moment for me. Aaron take him out I can't stand his presence." Shay ordered.

Walking out Aaron looks at Shay confused. Shay smiled at Aaron mischievously and winked while waving her hand to dismiss her. Shay looked at Shain and Charley while following Aaron out the door. Then she declared, "Until you two stop acting like children we will leave you two to work out your problems."

Shain and Charley looked at her confused and before they can react to what was happening; Shay locked the door and yelled from the other side "Bye!"

After ditching the pair in a locked closet, Shay suggested that they go to the movies as part of her plan to bring Aaron and Nathen together.

As they were walking down the street to the movie theater then Shay said "you guys go ahead I'm just gonna go get something and then catch-up with you two after the movie."

Aaron stopped in front of the theater. Then she turned around to face her older cousin then responded "ok, so I guess we'll see you later."

Shay walked away while waving good bye to them, then said "Have fun, and Nathan... behave yourself."
