"Um, Eddie."
Eddie glanced at the soft, timid voice behind him: Valentina. Valentina smiled tensely and apologetically- very much unlike the loud, outgoing woman she was.
"Could we talk?"
Eddie raised an eyebrow, "Uh, sure."
She grabbed his sleeve and pulled him away from the group on another part of the clearing. "I wanted to apologize for what happened at the dinner. It was... wrong of me to act like that."
Eddie smiled, "Well, thanks, besides, this isn't the first time you've acted like that dense with my male partners."
"I know, but I need to change that." Val smiled and placed a hand on her cousin, "I think you found the right guy; not everyday you find someone that great."
Eddie chuckles, "I know you want him too, but don't think you can take him from me."
She rolled her eyes and whispered, "Ah, fuck me then."
"What happened to cursing in front of kids?"
"Please, the shitheads can't hear me anyways. Just lemme know if Grant has a brother."
"Gross, no."
