I decided to text Noah. "Hey." I said. "Hey how is it at home?" He texted back. "Yesterday was terrible." I told him. "Do you want to tell me?" He asked. I was going to but then I remembered something Lauren had said. "The stuff that there into." "Uh yeah one sec." I texted him back. I got up and got dressed. I walked downstairs to find my mom drinking from her mug and my dad cooking something. "I'm going to find Lauren." I said. "Shouldn't you eat something first?" My dad asked. "We are having breakfast together." I said smiling. I looked at my mom she looked sick. Her hair was messy and her eyes and nose was red and she looked vacant. I looked at my dad and he looked at me. I grabbed my keys and walked out the door. "Be back by 4!" My dad called. I checked the time. 9:40 she will be up by now. I walked over to her house which was a few blocks down from mine. I arrived I walked up to her door I hesitated then knocked. I heard footsteps coming and then the door opened. I saw her sister standing there. "Is Lauren home?" I asked her. "Yeah Lauren!" She yelled. "What!" Lauren yelled back. "You have a visitor." She yelled back. Lauren came to the door. She looked like she had been crying. "What?" She asked. "Can we talk?" I asked ashamed looking at my feet. "Sure."
She said walking outside. "Ma I'm going for a walk."'she yelled. We walked out onto the sidewalk. "I thought I shouldn't be seen with a traitor?" She asked. "I'm sorry about that Lauren I was really upset with leaving New York and then Alex and Billy so I took it out on you and I shouldn't of and I'm so sorry." I said looking at her. "It's ok is that what you wanted to talk to me about?" She asked. "No I was thinking about what you said about what Alex and Billy are into." I said. "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "Shortly after you left they started hanging out with people they hung out with me but they started getting into drugs and yeah." Lauren said looking at her sneakers. "Holy shit why didn't you tell me this?" I asked. "It's not something to say over a call." She said looking at me. "So how was filming?" She asked me. "I think we need this over some breakfast at the diner." I said. "It's on me." I said as I new she was offering to pay. "Uh yeah why not." She said. We walked into the diner and sat down at our usual booth. We sat down. "So fill me in I want all of the details." Lauren said taking my hands into hers. "Did you meet any cute guys?" She asked. "I mean Noah." I said blushing. "Noah ooooh." Lauren cooed. "Yeah but I guess he was just a crush." I said. "What can I get you guys?" The waiter asked. "For a drink I'll have water." I said. "Ok and you?" He asked Lauren. "Lemonade please." She told him. "And can I get your food right away?" He asked us. "Yeah I'll have the chocolate chip pancakes." I said and Lauren got the same. "So what else?" She asked. "Well there was this really sweet deaf girl her name was Millicent." I told Lauren. "We bonded immediately because I know asl and I was the only one who new it except for her parents." I said. "What was Noah like?" She asked me. "He was one of the sweetest boys I've ever met he was polite he would joke around with me but he was so nice he was kind to my parents and he's the only one who really knows about Danny." I told her. "Wow just a crush huh?" She said. "Yeah." I said looking at my ring. "You miss them don't you?" She asked me. "Yeah I do a lot it's only been a day." I said. "So when's like the red carpet and stuff?" She asked. "Premier is in April and I have to pick out my dress soon." I said. "Speaking of which I was wondering if you would like to come along for that? To pick out my dress." I asked her. "Really? Of course I would!" She said excitedly. "Yeah of course I need your input on this stuff." I said sipping my water. "Of course you do." She said smiling at me. I got my Lauren back. Still didn't feel like home though. "Here is your pancakes." The waiter said setting down the pancakes in front of us. "Thank you sir." I said. Digging into my pancakes. "Mm this is what I missed." I said pointing to the pancakes. "Not me?" Lauren said pretending to be hurt. "Hey do you wanna sleep over tonight?" I asked her. "Y/n it's Sunday I have school don't you?" She asked. My face fell. "No I'm doing online schooling now." I said. "Oh ok." She said. "Yeah I'm sorry I didn't tell you that." I said. "No it's fine we signed up for the same classes remember."
She said. "Oh yeah i have classes with Noah now." I said. "Oh." She said. "I'm sorry Lauren I really am." I said. "It's not your fault that suddenly over night you became famous and you had to switch schools." She said. "Yeah a bit of a schedule change." I said laughing. We finished our breakfast and began walking When I got a call from my mom "hello?" I asked. "You have your fitting in 20 minutes get home now!" She said then hung up. "Ok well I guess I have to go get fitted for my dress." I said to Lauren. "Come on let's go." I said running back to my house. We got there panting and sweaty. "Nice to see you Lauren you coming with?" My dad asked. "Yeah is that ok?" I asked him. "Yeah it's fine just get in."
He said opening the car door for us. We drove to the place which was about an hour away. "Hi we are here for a fitting with mark?" My mom asked. "Y/n?" The lady asked. "Yeah shes right here." My mom said pushing me forward. "Come with me." She said beckoning us through a hallway. We entered a room where I saw a man with some intricate eye liner on. "Hi." I said to him. "Hello and you must be y/n?" He asked. "Yes I am." I said shaking his hand. "Stand up here." He said gesturing to a pedestal. I stood up while he walked around me scanning every bit of my body. "Maybe some blue some green." He said to himself. "You Hand me that book." He said to Lauren who jumped a bit but handed him the book. He started drawing something out and showed it to my mom who agreed it would look good on me. "Do you like it?" Mark asked me as he showed me his drawing it was a green dress made out of tool with butterflies on it. "Yes I love it!" I said. "Good good I thought you would." He said. He grabbed a tape measure and began measuring me mt chest my waist my stomach my legs. "Ok and we are done for today I will give you a call when I have it ready and I will see you then." He said to my mom. ~short time skip~
I'm going to call Noah in a little bit and tell him about my day. Then my phone wen tiff and he was calling. "Hey." He said. "Hey." I said. "So how is it?" He asked. "Well yesterday was pretty bad Alex and Billy were mad but Lauren and I are friends now." I told him. "That's good." He said. "Oh yeah Alex and billy are into drugs now." I told him. "Ok wow that's not something you say over the phone." He said. "I got fitted for my dress today." I said. "How did that go?" He asked. "Good I saw a sketch of what it's supposed to look like." I said. "What's it supposed to look like?" He asked. "That's a surprise." I said flopping onto my bed. "Enough of me how are you holding up with my absence?" I asked him which he chuckled at. "Well we are getting ready to leave soon too." He said. "When are you leaving?" I asked him. "Next month." He answered. "Oh that's not soon." I said. "To tho it was." He said back. "What did you do today?" I asked him. "I went to a book shop with Millie and yeah that's basically it." He told me. "Do you wanna know the truth?" I asked him. "Yes." she answered. "This doesn't feel like home anymore."
I said. "New York does." I said sadly. "Yeah it's on you will get used to it again." He said. "We're going to see each other again in 7 months." He said. I closed my eyes. "7 months to long." I said and I fell asleep.
