We have a interviews tomorrow. Me Millie and Noah do. John and Emily have other interviews going on. "Y/n come get your outfit on." My mom called. I gifted and stood up from our game of candy land. "I have to get changed." I signed. "Ok I will to then." Millie signed. "Bye see you then." I said to Noah walking out of my room. We had to stay an extra week because of the interview. I walked into my room and saw my outfit for the day spread out on my bed. I sighed and walked over to it. "Get ready we have like 30 minutes before we have to leave." My mom said. I grabbed my outfit and walked into the bathroom to change. I got changed and walked our of the bathroom. "You look great." My mom said. "Thanks mom are they doing my hair and makeup?" I asked her. "Yup all you have to do is get dressed." She said. "What are you packing for?" I asked her. "Oh well I'm going back to LA early." She said. "What why?" I asked her. "I-I just have to ok." She said. I was confused I didn't know about this. "Why can't you stay here?" I asked her. "Because y/n." She said raising her voice. "Sorry I just didn't know what was going on." I said putting my hands up. She didn't say anything else. "Hey we're is dad?" I asked her. "He is in the lobby." My mom said still packing. I hummed in response. I walked over to the fridge and grabbed a yogurt. I sat in my bed and turned in the tv. I scrolled through the channels until I found spongebob. I was never allowed to watch this as a kid. "Oooh sponge bob." I said. "Y/n.."
My mom warned. "What I'm 13 now I can take moron as a bad word." I said with a mouth full of yogurt. "Swallow your food." She said. I stuck my tongue out at her with yogurt all over it. "That's disgusting y/n not even funny." She said while gagging. "We have to leave soon." She said. "Like how soon?" I asked her. "Like 10 minutes soon." She said checking her watch. I sighed and scraped the rest of my yogurt out of the container with my spoon. A few minutes later we got into the car. "Is dad coming?" I asked her. "He's driving separately." My mom said pulling out of the lot. "Oh ok." I said leaning my head on my window. I plugged in my ear buds and turned on some music. I opened my phone and texted my group chat from home. "I have my first interview today." I said. "Congrats!! Tell us all about it when it's done." Alex said. "Will do." I texted back. Unlike the last time we've actually made an effort to keep our relationship. I've tried convincing mom and dad to go back for the holidays or something. The gave me the "we'll think about it." But it would make a lot of sense I get to see my cousins my aunts uncles grandmas grandpas and my friends and Amanda. I texted the other group chat "I'm on my way right now." I said. "Me too." Noah said. "Me three." Millie replied. I turned off my phone and listened to the music. We pulled into the studio not long after. "Y/n we're here." My mom said tapping my shoulder. I pulled out my ear buds and grabbed my phone and walked into the studio. "Y/n your in room 6 to your left down that hallway." The lady said. I walked down the hallway and found door six. "Here it is." I said opening the door. There was a couch in one corner and a hair and makeup chair in the middle and a tv. "Oh yeah this is more like it." I said. "Im room 6 for dressing rooms." I texted Millie and Noah. "Just got here I'm seeing what room I'm in." He said. "I got 3." He texted back. "I'm just pulling in now." Millie texted. A few minutes later she'll my phone went off again. "I'm in 7." Millie texted. "Ooh right next to me." I said. Just then the door opened. "Oh hey y/n." Noah said. I was sitting on the Coach and my mom had to leave to call someone I think my dad. "Hey." I said patting the spot next to me. "Is this your first interview?" He asked me. "If you don't count the one at the premiere then yes." I said. He bummed in response. "You nervous?" He asked. "A little bit how bad could it be it's just answering questions right?" I said. "Yeah they aren't that bad." He said. I opened my bag and got a bag of chips out. "You want some?" I asked him. "Sure I'll have some crisps." He said. "It's chips!" I said. "Crisps." He Said. "Chips." "Crisps." "Chips." "Crisps." "Chips." "Crisps." "Chips." "Crisps." He said. "Ok fine 'crisps'." I said In a mocking tone. "Are you discriminating against the British?" He asked offended. "Mhm." I said. "Wow and you admit to it." He said. I threw him a bag of 'crisps' . "Here's your crisps." I said as I threw them at him. I walked back over to the couch and sat down. "Noah you need to go back to your room and get ready." My mom said as she walked into the room. "Bye see you." Noah said waving his hand and leaving. "Your makeup and hair is coming in a minute." She said. "Is dad coming?" I asked her. "Yeah traffic was bad he's waiting in the lobby." My mom said. "Oh ok." I said as I walked over to the makeup chair. Just then a woman walked through the door. "Oh hello y/n im Claudia." She said as she extended her hand. "I was thinking for the hair to do a low bun or something ." She said to me and my mom. "Yeah I think that would look good." I said. She started to put my hair up and out Bobby pins in the front. Then she was done with that. She moved onto the makeup which was just natural. Once I was done I slipped on the shoes I was supposed to wear.  "On stage 3 in 10" so guy said. I walked over to stage three to see 4 chairs set up. I saw Millie signing to her translator. And Noah standing there talking to whoever was interviewing us. I walked over to Noah and the interviewer. "Hey your y/n." He said. "Hi and you are?" I asked politely. "I'm Jack peters." He said extending his hand. In which I took and shook his hand. "Places!" We heard being yelled. "That's our cue." He said. We walked over to sit down I was in the middle of Noah and Millie. "And we're rolling." We heard. "Hi I'm jack peters and I'm with the cast of the quiet place." He said. "And guys May I just say that I love your movie you all did an excellent job." He said. "Aw." Noah said. "So first off for everyone we're were your characters at the beginning of the movie?" Jack asked us. Noah went first. "They are  at the point we're they have to start helping the adults and are becoming an a adult and He wants to be a kid he doesnt want to become and adult he wants to stay a kid and he doesn't want to survive he wants to be a normal kid and do kid things but he has to survive." He said. He looked at me and nodded. "For my character I feel like she is struggling with the loss of her family and then seeing the abotts all have each other and she feels like the odd duck but I think Marcus is trying to help her through it. And I also feel like Aurora and Marcus can but heads because Aurora was on her own so she has I feel as if she has great survival instincts and knows how to survive and Marcus might be a little naive with those skills. Regan and Aurora have a bit of a rocky relationship Regan I feel like knows how to survive and wants to get their and help more but she is a bit of a burden to the family because she is deaf and can't hear the sounds she could be making and Aurora I feel knows that and kind of views Regan as a threat to her existence " I said nodding to Millie. "And for Regan my character she is very brave and very strong she's very confident in what she wants and will work hard to get it. And that's why I think in a few scenes Aurora and Regan have their differences because they are so a like and like y/n Said Regan can make sound and kill aurora and her family but she wants to help but Aurora doesn't want that. She is always trying to help out the family and her brother Marcus and Aurora of course I think Regans character and Marcus's character have a very strong relationship because they are both kids and they know how each other feels but Regans having a difficult time with her father and is guilt ridden and she feels guilty about being deaf because the deaf aspect caused her to make sound and becomes a liability for the family because she's not aware of sound and that you know any sound could be the death of her family so that's her burden." Millie signed and her translator spoke. "And this one is for Millie. Is it ok if I call you that?." Jack asked. "Yeah of course." She signed and her translator translated for him. "How did your deafness influence your character?" He asked her. "Sometimes I don't want to be deaf I think it's you know because the world would be easier if I weren't deaf you could be in school any school you wanted to you can communicate with anyone sometimes and I want to hear music I want to hear what people are saying in the films I have to read the captions i mean which is great but I took those experiences and applied them to Regan and that's what I did I took all of those experiences and thought this is what Regan feels as well and thinking about the relationship with her father which was so difficult because neither of them were able to communicate which is so totally unlike my real life experience where I have a very close relationship with my father but I sat with John and we had a conversation about it and he said look in real life we have a great conversation but in this scene we're going to have a very difficult time communicating with each other Regan can't express that she loves her father and her father can't express he loves her and that's how he got me through the scenes." Millie finished. I nodded. "And this one is for y/n this was your first film how was it going head first into such a unique film?" Jack asked. "Well it was a bit difficult but everyone helped me through it. Noah and Millie are my best friends and they are more experienced than I am so they helped a lot. I'm not saying John and Emily didn't they did a lot but I think because Noah and Millie are child actors as well and know what it's like they understood a bit more than John and Emily. John and Emily were my i guess acting parents. They would help with all of the professional things like helping with my lines and acting stuff and how to put more emotion into things and stuff like that and Noah and Millie would help with like stuff off screen." I said smiling. "Next is for Noah how does your character feel about the pressure of having to survive?" Jack asked. "He has got a lot of pressure and obviously in the movie sometimes when he knocks the lamp over sometimes that pressure you know he it causes him to do things that could potentially hurt the family but yeah I think he doesnt want that pressure and he's doing whatever he can like the things his parents want to try and you know release that pressure from him." He finished. "For everyone how was it filming scenes with the whole family?" Jack asked us. "Yeah they were really unique you know all of them and it was great to have you know only scenes with the whole family like yeah dinner scene which was really beautiful and those scenes felt safe you know there were actually only scenes in the movie that kind of have a bit of a hint of safety in them and you know to be apart of the whole family in the same room and acting in the same scene was quite cool." Big finished looking at me. "Yeah I agree with what Noah said I think all of us have great chemistry off screen so I guess we try to channel that into acting on screen and create a good chemistry with our characters as well. And I think it's quiet cool to film with everyone because we have such a good bond with each other so we have a great time acting with each other even in difficult scenes." I said looking at Millie. "Yes I think that the family bond is so strong with these characters and we have a lot of shared experiences and none of us are happy with our life when none of us are happy since the creatures have invaded earth we never know what's going to happen next but our binds with the family are what pull us together we want to get out we want to have fun again and we all share love with each other but we all desire to be independent and it's hard on the family because we have at least restraints and we don't know how long the invasion will last and is this our new reality forever and it really melts your heart because you care for this family and you know that dinner scene is the only time that you felt a little calm." She finished. We all nodded in agreement. "Y/n how was Aurora feeling about the family?" Jack asked. "I think she feels like she is kind of a burden to them as well because that's more food that's more things to move it's just one more person to care for that's why she try's to do as much as she can for herself because she feels like they felt they had to take her in because she was a youth on her own in a world like this. I think this is  something she really struggles with like when beau was killed I think she really felt terrible because she hadn't know him for long yes she shed tears but she didn't get that stuck in his death like Regan or lee or Marcus or Evelyn." I said. "Millie how was working with the crew?" He asked. "I think it was very interesting to work with the crew and watching them film watching them stage it I mean they're  creating johns worlds and Johns
Vision of this world of a quiet place it wasn't hard for me to be acting while they were doing the technical and specific directions because John would just keep reminding me to be natural a surprise yourself find the moment and be said you know always be surprised and don't mess it up it was a lot of fun." She finished. "Noah how was shooting the dialogue scenes with John?" Jack asked. "Obviously we did talk in between takes I men's that would be pretty hard if we were silent the whole shoot but yeah it felt you know cool to have the only speaking scene in the whole movie and to you know do that and to work on the only speaker series you know the one with the boom was like wow you know someones actually hearing speaking and also the waterfall was beautiful so that day was you know this the scenery was absolutely beautiful and incredible and yeah it's probably one of my favorite scenes actually." He finished. "And I guess this goes to y/n as well how did you feel about filming the scene?" Jack asked me. "Like Noah said the scenery was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking so that was one of my favorite scenes to film. But I feel like I'm screen it's a really beautiful scene because Lee takes them somewhere we're they can be kids again because like what Noah said there is a lot of pressure on Marcus and I feel there is a lot of pressure on Aurora well there's a lot of pressure on everyone but I think that Marcus and Aurora are hit with more of it because they are so young. So I think that that really helped Aurora and Marcus. And also like Noah said it was really cool to be in the only speaking scene in the whole movie." I said. "Millicent this is for you how is your friendship with everyone?" Jack asked. "We first met like a month or two before filming started we had asl training and classes and rehearsals and all that but when we first met I was surrounded by hearing people who didn't know sign language I obviously had a translator their but then y/n came in and I assumed that she was like the rest couldn't understand me but she introduced herself in perfect asl so I think that we immediately hit it off." She said. "And I'm sorry Millie you can answer more but y/n how did you learn sign language did you know Millie was deaf and learn or?" Jack asked. "Yeah so I knew Millie was deaf but my grandma was actually deaf so I grew up with asl so I used it to communicate with Millie." I said. "Continue Millie." Jack Said. "So y/n and I quickly were very close friends and then Noah wanted to be able to communicate with me earlier so we taught him some sign language on lunch breaks and then he had to learn for the movie so we all became really close really fast and it's been great so far I really hope we can work together again soon." She finished with a smile. "Last but not least everyone's favorite scenes?" Jack asked. Noah went first. "I'd say the dinner scene again just because you know it's the only scenes that seems connected with the family there's hope in that seat there praying for a better life and for a better world and I think it means so much to the movie that scene and it was amazing to shoot because I've got to eat fish so yeah." Noah finished looking at me. "I like the dinner scene or the waterfall scene. I can't pick between the two but the dinner one because it's the only scene we're they have hope we're you feel safe and you can feel that through the screen I feel like. And the waterfall scene because it lets Marcus and my character let go of the pressure they have built up and they can just be kids again even if it's for  30 minutes or a few hours it means a lot to them I feel like." I said. "I think my favorite scene was in the bridge it was so beautiful the environment was so beautiful and everyone was so calm and the day was perfect it was easy to shoot and that was my first day and that was and it was great. It sort of made me relive it and I you know I finally got comforted with the family and the food during the dinner scene was delicious Noah was right I couldn't eat it all." Millie finished. "Alright that's all we got for today again congrats on the movie and yeah." He said. We thanked him and got a picture. I walked back to my dressing room and sat down  on the couch. My phone buzzed. "Girl I need to see your outfit." It was Dylan. There was a mirror so I snapped a quick picture and sent it to him. Except I sent it to Noah. A few minutes later Noah walked into my room. "Thanks for the picture." He said. "Hm?" I asked confused. "You sent me you in the mirror?" He said. "Oh shit that was sent to you." I said I flushed with embarrassment. "Yeah.... It was." He said scratching his neck. "Noah I'm sorry that was meant for Dylan." I said. He snapped his head up. "Dylan? Who's Dylan?" He asked. "My friends from LA he wants to be a fashion designer so he asks me to send him pictures of my outfits to see ideas and stuff." I told him picking up my shoes and putting them in my bag. "Oh ok do you like him?" Noah asked sitting down on the couch. "No he's gay." I said plopping next to him. I grabbed two apple juices from my bag. I handed one to him I opened mine. "Cheers to our first interview." I said knocking cups with him. I leaned my head into his chest. I breathed in. "Y/n-." It was my dad. "Hm." I said picking my head up. "Time to go." He said sternly. I picked up my stuff and said goodbye to Noah. My dad grabbed my wrist. "Ow! Dad!" I said. He pulled me to the car. My mom was seated in the back seat of the car. I opened the door and got in. "We need to talk." My dad said sternly. "What why?" My mom asked sitting up. "Y/n what did you do?" She asked me. "Nothing!" I exclaimed. "Yes you did." My dad said. "What did I do dad? I don't know what I did!" I said. "Stop yelling at each other." My mom yelled. I sat back a huffed knocking a piece of hair out of my face. "Y/n was cuddling with Noah on the couch." My dad said finally. "Dad I haven't seen him in like 5 months it's called platonic cuddling!"
I exclaimed. "Y/dm! That's all and you dragged her out here by her wrist!" My mom yelled. "Well yeah." My dad said. "There teenagers it's going to happen eventually." My mom said. "Well she needs some discipline!" My dad yelled. "They are friends!" My mom yelled. "I don't want any funny business!" My dad yelled again. "I'm 13!" I yelled. "Still!" My dad yelled. "Let her be a kid!" My mom yelled. "I am she just needs boundaries!" My dad yelled back. "Stop!" I yelled. "Stop fighting." I said and they did. The rest of the ride was silent. I got out of the car and went to the room. I changed into some comfier clothes and flopped onto the bed and waited for the others. They arrived and we went swimming and fell asleep.
