We are leaving in a week. I still haven't told Lauren that I'm leaving. Amanda left and is back in college. Noah and I haven't called in a while due to my busy schedule with school and moving. "Y/n I think it's time you tell Lauren." My mom said. "Yeah mom I will. It's just that we just got back to each other and now I have to leave again but for good this time." I said. "Ok how about you do it today though ok?" My mom said. "Ok I will." I said. "I'll tell her over some lunch and the diner." I said. "Ok but for now pack the movers are coming here tomorrow. To take all of our big stuff like the couch and stuff." My mom said. "Ok." I said. "Hey you busy today?" I texted Lauren. "Nope why?" She texted back. "I was wondering if you would want to go out for lunch." I asked her. "Sure meet at 12:00?" She asked me. "Yeah." I said. "Y/n! Come here." My mom yelled. "What?" I asked walking down the stairs. "We need to talk." My dad said. "Again?" I asked. "About the plans for the day we leave." He said. "Oh ok." I said sitting down. "We don't plan on leaving until about 3 or 4 we are going to load the car you can do whatever you don't have to help." He said. "Say goodbye to everyone." He Said. "Ok I'm supposed to meet Lauren at lunch in a hour." I said. I walked into my room and was shocked to see it bare. It didn't really hit me that we were leaving everything. Everything everyone. My family. My friends. My home. My life. I walked over to a box and picked up a photo of Danny and I. He was sitting in my lap laughing as I tickled him. 4 years he's been gone. I started to tear up. No don't cry I told myself. Danny wouldn't want me too. Danny would want me to move to LA and chase my dreams. I set the picture down and looked at myself in the mirror I wiped my eyes and walked downstairs. "I'm leaving." I said. "It's a bit early." My mom said. "Yeah we changed times." I said walking out the door and into the chilly winter air. I walked to the park and sat down on the bench. I had 30 minutes to myself. I sighed I started thinking about the quiet place again. I took off my glove and took my ring off of my finger. I held it to my chest and laughed. I remembered my locket. I pulled it off and saw a picture of Millie Noah and I. I miss them so much. I sighed and for 30 minutes reflected on the good times in New York. I wondered what I looked like there now. My phone went off and my day dream was broken. "Y/n are you coming?" Lauren asked. "Yeah sorry I lost my keys." I said. I ran over to the diner and saw Lauren bill and Alex sitting at your normal booth. I was stunned. I sat down next to Lauren. "Uh y/n Alex and bill are ready to make peace with you." Lauren said. "Of course they are." I said. "Look y/n we are truly sorry for how we acted." Alex said trying from take my hands in hers I jerked them away from her. "You hurt me." I said looking at her. "You called me a traitor because I was busy getting a career for myself." I said looking at the both of them. "And now you expect me to forgive you?" I asked Angrily. "No we don't you don't have to but we realized that how we were acting was wrong and we missed you." Bill said looking at his hands. "Unbelievable." I whispered to myself leaning back. "Please y/n!" Alex begged tears sprouting in her eyes. "I don't know Alex you guys were assholes." I said to her. "You ditched Lauren and I to do those things and I don't know if I can forgive you." I said. "You don't have to we were just trying to be friend again we miss the old times." Bill said. the old times. I got a flash back me bill Alex and Lauren walking outside for recess. While we were running I scraped me knee. All of them helped carry me to the office to get a bandaid. "I-I think I can forgive you." I said. "Really?" Alex said sounding relieved. "Really." I said looking up at them smiling. "So tell us all about the filming." Bill said and I explained about everything. "Look guys I love this and all but we have to talk." I said. "Can we eat first?" Bill asked just as our food came out. "Yeah." I said. We ate our food little conversation coming up. "So what we're you saying y/n?" Alex asked. "So my career is starting to take off." I said. "But the quiet place hasn't even been released yet." Bill said. "Yeah but the trailer has been doing really well and it comes out in like 5 months so I'm moving."
I said. "Ok what's the big deal you will still be here right?" Bill asked. I shook my head. "No i will be in la." I said. "Holy shit that's half way across the country." Alex said. "Yeah it is." I said looking down at the table. "When are you leaving?" Bill asked. "5 days." I said still staring down. "Jesus Christ y/n why didn't you tell us?" Lauren asked. "Because I didn't want to." I said. "I thought if I didn't tell you it would be less painful if that makes sense." I said. "No it doesn't." Bill said laughing. "What is funny about this?" Alex asked. "Nothing is just y/ns logic." Bill said. "Thanks bill." I said. "Sorry." He said shifting in his seat. "It's fine." I said. "We just got you back." Alex said softly. Then she started crying. She laid into bills chest and he hugged her lovingly. I smiled at them through my tears. Lauren leaned her head on my shoulder and I put my head on hers everyone was crying. "So when did you and Alex?" I asked bill as he walked me back to my house. We live 2 blocks away from each other. "Uh after you left." He said rubbing the back of his head. "You really like her huh?" I asked. "Yeah I know we are only 13 but yeah I do." He said. "Did you find someone?" He asked me. "No I don't really want to right now." I told him. "Really not even Noah." He said. "How do you know about that?" I asked him confused. "Lauren still talked to us you know." He said nudging my shoulder. "Yeah but I think I'm to young and naive yet." I said smiling at the ground. "I didn't know you wore rings." Bill said grabbing my hand. "Oh yeah I have matching rings with Noah and Millie." I said. "We need to get something matching before you leave." Bill said. "Yeah we do I'm sorry I told you guys in such short notice." I said. "Don't worry about it." He said nudging me. "I hope you make it." He said. "Yeah me too." I said. "It's been so exhausting." I said. "What has?" Bill asked. "Filming and moving." I said. "It's been mentally and physical exhausting." I said. "I bet it has." He said. "Your castle princess." Bill said gesturing me to my house. "Thank you kind sir." I said giving him a curtsy. I opened the door and bill was turning to leave. "Oh Bill I haven't seen you in awhile come in." My dad said. "No thanks my grandma is waiting for me." He said. Wait what he's not living with his mom anymore? "Hold on dad bill and I need to talk." I said closing the door. "What happened?" I asked him. "Uh about what?" He asked nervously. "Your not living with your parents anymore?" I said. "Yeah." He said looking down. "You don't have to tell me." I said. "No no it's fine. You should know." He said. "My parents spilt and my mom got a new boyfriend she had full custody of us and he got her into all sorts of drugs and shit that's how Alex and I got roped into it." He said. "Finally one of my siblings went to the police and my dad had moved out of state so he want an option my siblings went to stay with my grandma and I got sent to juvie." He finished. "Oh my god bill im so sorry." I sis hugging him. "That's why you didn't see me around a lot." He said. "Why didn't they send you to rehab or something?" I asked him. "Come on y/b think about it I'm a 13 year old black kid that's doing drugs forget rehab." He said. "I'm so sorry you sure you don't wan to come in have dinner with us?" I asked him. "No but thanks for offering I should get back home" he said. "Ok bye!" I said walking into my house. "See you have made up." My mom said.
"Yeah we have." I said sitting down. "Did you have fun?" My mom asked. "Yeah." I said. "Did you tell them?" She asked. "Yes I did. They cried." I said. "But they agree I should go." I said. "Mom?" I asked. She bummed signaling she's was listening. "What about Danny?" I asked. She dropped the spoon. "What about Danny?" She asked. "We are just going to leave him here?" I asked. "Well we can't dig him up and bring him with us." She said. "Yeah but we are leaving him." I said. "We don't have a choice y/n!" She yelled causing me to jump. "You can't get attached to places like this or you are not going to make it." She said. "Ok ok I'm sorry." I said standing up and walking to my room. What did she expect? For me to just let this place go? Sorry but that's not how it works. I grew up here and I'm supposed to leave like it's nothing? No I can't. Nobody can it's impossible.
A/n I know there is not a lot of Noah but wait also I have decided that I will write a Marcus abott book but I am going to finish these books first.
