It's been about 1 month since we left New York. Noah left New York which sucks because now instead of being ahead of me by 1 hour he's 6 hours ahead of me. We've called whenever we have the chance. "Did you hear?" Noah asked me this morning. "About what?" I asked him. "The trailer is coming out today." He said. "I said. "Yes it's happening." He said. "Look I got to go to bed I'll try to talk to you tomorrow." He said.
"Good night and good bye." I said before hanging up. It's almost Thanksgiving which means Amanda is coming home soon. I walked downstairs for breakfast and saw my mom sitting there and my dad making coffee. "Amanda is coming tonight." My dad said. "Really?" I asked excitedly. "Yeah!" He said. "Ok great!" I said happily. I haven't seen Amanda for almost a year now. "I do hav plans with Lauren for a bit today." I said. "Ok you know the rules." My dad said. Lauren and I were baking today. We were making pie for thanks giving which we would probably eat today. I got to her house and knocked. "Y/n why do you even knock anymore? You are literally my best friend." Lauren said. "Because I am polite." I said giving her a curtsy. "Of course you m'lady." She said giving me a curtsy back. "What kind of pie are we making?" She asked. "I was thinking maybe pumpkins and like something else?" I said. "Yeah sounds good." She said. "We need to go to the grocery store." She said. "Pull up a recipe." She said. "I found one on Pinterest." I said showing her my phone. "Perfect how about a cherry pie." She Said. "Yeah sounds good." I said. "Let's get going." She said grabbing her bag. "This feels like a movie." She said. "What does?" I asked her. "The leaves the street the fog. It feels like I'm in a hallmark movie." She Said sighing. "Y/n can I ask you something?" She asked me. "You just did." I said smirking at her. "You know what I mean." She said hitting arm. "Yeah fire away." I said. "Was it scary?" She asked me. "Was what scary?" I asked her back. "Filming a horror movie like you dive in head first this was your first film and it was such a heavy movie." She said. "Well yeah there were parts that were tough to film but I got through the with the help of everyone." I said. "That's really cool." She said. "Yeah it was a really cool experience." I said opening the door to the store. We were turning into a aisle when we saw bill and Alex Lauren pulled me back to avoid them but they saw us. "Look who it is." Bill said. "The traitor." He said we turned around and looked at them. "Look guys I tried I really did but you gave up on me." I told him. "We gave up on you?" Alex asked harshly. "Yes you did." I said. "Your the one who flew out to New York to film some movie." Bill said. "And I was just supposed to turn it down?" I asked. "I have been training for this for my entire life and I'm supposed to drop it all to stay here?!" I asked them. "Sorry but that's not happening."
I said shouldering my way past them. "I'm sorry about them." Lauren said. "It's not your fault." I said looking for the ingredients. Once we found everything we needed we paid and went back to Lauren's house. "We should go live while we are baking." She said. "Sure your account or mine?" I asked her. "Yours you have more followers." She said. So we set up my phone and went live. "Hey livestream people." I said. I noticed Noah joined. "Oh hey Noah."
I said. "Hey y/n whatcha doing?" He asked. "We are baking pies." I said showing him the ingredients. "I'd love to chat but we have to start baking." I said to him. "What do we have to preheat the oven to?" Lauren asked. "350." I said. "We are making pumpkin pie and cherry pie today." I said. "Do you have to sparky the pan first or can I just put the pie dough in?" I asked Lauren. "Have you ever done this before? You said you used to bake all the time!" She said laughing. I don't know why but that was pretty funny I was laughing so hard I gripped them counter for support. "So yeah I do spray it?" I asked her. "Yes you do!" She said. I put the dough in the pan. "Time for the filling." I said. "Do you want to make this?" I asked her. "No you do this one I'll do the other one." She said. "I'll answer questions for the live. "I need a hand beater." I said looking in the cabinets. "Right there." she said grabbing one from the cabinet. I added all of the ingredients into a bowl and set the beater to the highest setting. Big mistake. I couldn't hang on to it that well and all of the ingredients went flying. I turned it down a notch and contiguous mix it. "We finished our pies." I said showing the live out pies. We finished our pies and ended the live stream. "Let's eat some pie!" Lauren said. Then my phone went off. "Coming to pick you up at laurens it's time to go get Amanda." My dad texted. "I'm really sorry Lauren my dads coming to pick me up because Amanda's coming home you can have both of the pies. Again I'm sorry." I said. "It's. Not your fault here just have a slice quick." she said handing me a slice of pie. "Mm this is so good." I said quickly eating it. I heard my dad pull up. "I have to go I'm sorry." I said hugging her. "It's fine bye!" She called as I walked to my car. "Hey y/n ready to go pick up your sister?" My dad asked. "Yeah I haven't seen her for almost a year." I said. ~short time skip~
We pulled into the air port and went into the lobby. We waited for Amanda for about 30 minutes. "Hey bug." I heard. "Amanda!"
I said hugging her. "I missed you!" I said. "I missed you too bug." Said into my hair. "Ok girls let's get home for dinner." My mom said hugging Amanda my dad doing the same.
We got home and Amanda went to her room and then came in mine. "I want all of the details." She said sitting on my bed. "Of filming?" I asked her. "No of your breakfast." She said sarcastically. "Well it was life changing. It was a bit scary because I went head on into a horror movie which was really heavy it involved death and stuff but the cast really helped me." I said. "So how was the cast?" She asked me. "Well Millicent and I really bonded because when I first got there I was the only one who new sign language." I said. "And what about Noah?" She asked. "He was really sweet to we all had a really tight bond from like day one of meeting each other." I said. "So do you still have a crush on him?" She asked. I just looked at her and smiled. "Oh my god you do!" She said loudly. "Sh!" I said. "Yeah I do." I said smiling and blushing. "Dinner!" We heard and we walked downstairs and sat down at the table. "So Amanda how's college been going?" My dad asked. "Great my classes can be a bit stressful but it's pretty good I have some good friends I'm living the life." She said. "We need to talk to you about something." My mom said. I stopped eating and looked up at her. "We have decided that for y/n's career that we are moving." She said. "Where?" I asked. "To LA." She said. "No." I said shaking my head. "Y/n it's what's best for you." She said. "No it's not I like it here and New York!" I said. "This is just a place." She said. "Where I grew up I have Lauren here!" I said. "Exactly what happens to bill and Alex." She said. "They aren't interested in me anymore." I said. "Y/n I don't think you understand the importance of moving to la you could be a star." My dad said. "Fine." I said everyone looked around at each other shocked that I agreed so easily. I ate the rest of dinner into saying a word and holding back tears. I walked up to my room and checked my phone. "Hey can you call later?" It was Noah. "I can call you now." I said. "Yeah I'm up." He said. He FaceTimed me and I answered. "Hey Noah." I said. "Hey y/n." He said sleepily. "Did I wake you up?" I asked him. "No your fine." He said. "I'm moving to LA." I said. "What really?" He asked me. "Yeah it's better for my career." I said. "Yeah It is." He said. "I can't take long my sister is home from college and I should hang out with her." I said. "But fill me in on your day." I said. "Eh nothing to fancy."
He said. "Ah well I should go now." I said. "Bye." I whispered and then he hung up. "You wanna talk?" Amanda asked. "About what?" I asked. "Don't play dumb y/n. LA?" Amanda Said. "What is there to talk about I'm going there whether I like it or not." I said. "I'm sure if you told them they would be ok with staying." She said. "I don't know who you think is in that kitchen right now but look how fast they ripped me away from New York!" I said. She sighed. "I'm just saying if you spoke up for yourself more maybe you would get to decide more of what happens in your life." She said. "Just give me some time alone please." I said.
She sighed and exited my room. I sat down on my bed and cried. I laid down and cried myself to sleep. Why does this always happen? I'm only 12.
