"Wess?" I say, randomly.

"Riss?" He replies.

"What are we?"

"Humans." he states.

"Why?"

"Because that's the name that scientists and God agreed on." He answers.

"Good answer." I chuckle.

"Thank you."

"One more question?" I ask.

"Shoot."

"What is the meaning of life?"

"Dictionary or my view?" He answers.

"Both." I retort.

"Dictionary is 'the existence of an individual human being or animal'." I nod urging him to continue. "Mine would have to be........ taking risks, being you, making mistakes and learning from them. That's my idea of living."

"Deep." I whisper.

"I know........" he trails. Eventually we both fall asleep on the couch to the sound of each other's breathing. I love West, he's a great brother, but he can't replace Tommy. I need Tommy.

"Hey chica." Mahogany shouts, jumping on my back. "Whatcha doing?"

"Heading to the Willow Tree." I answer, trying not to drop her.

"Really? So was I!" She retorts. I sigh and walk the rest of the distance with her on my back. "Hey there!"

"Hi." Diego mumbles, putting in his earphones.

"What's wrong with him?" I ask Kyle, setting Mahogany down by the table.

"He's grounded," Ky states. "and because of that he can't um.........."

"You can tell her." Mahogany comments. "It was originally her brothers gang."

"Okay, well we have a fight to night and since Diego is grounded he can't come."

"Can't he sneak out or something?" I ask.

"You still haven't met they're mother, so I'll pretend you didn't ask that." he retorts and I show him a confused look. "He would be dead within seconds if she caught him. She's a scary woman; scarier than Ian and Mags mom."

"What about my mom?" Ian ask, coming up from behind me.

"She's scary." Kyle answers.

"That is true," Ian nods. "but how did you get to that topic?"

"Oh right!" Kyle says as if remembering something. "Di is grounded and he won't be able to come tonight."

"What did he do?" Ian sighs.

"His mom found his hash brownies," Ky says, hopping onto the picnic table. "and mamma has him on lock down. He can't go anywhere, but home and school."

"Well that's just spectacular." Ian groans, putting his face in his hands. "How are we supposed to beat them, we need everyone."

"I know, but can't you just ask Mark or Patrick to join?"

"No," Ian interjects. "It's not their fight it's ours and Diego has fucked it up." I roll my eyes and sit down next to Kyle and Mahogany goes to sit by the tree.

"I realize that, but other option do we have!" Kyle shouts, running a hand through his blond waves. "We can't do anything about Diego being grounded." There is so much tension between the to that you could cut it with a knife. Ian and Kyle were both clearly stressed out and Diego upset. I could tell that he had heard the conversation from the expression on his face. He looked so uncomfortable and guilty. This fight must be really important.

"If you want, I ca-" I start.

"No." Ian states before I can even finish my thought.

"But you need-"

"I don't care you aren't coming." He interjects.

"Dude, she could-" Kyle tries to speak.

"I said no!" Ian shouts, before running a hand through his hair.

Douche bag!

Kyle looks to me and shrugs with and apologetic expression plastered on his face. I just nod and produce a small, might I add, fake smile onto my lips.

"Come on." Ian speaks up, after a couple minutes, running a hand over his face. "We have to go and work this out. Diego." Kyle and Di get up and follow Ian. "Oh and no training to day, Cupcake." Ian says over his shoulder.

"Idiot........." I trail, rolling my eyes and laying back on the table.

"Do you want to come over my mom's after school?" Mahogany asks, laying down next to me.

"Sure." I smile, closing my eyes. "What crawled up your brother's ass and died?"

"He's just overprotective." she sighs.

"Why of me though?"

"Honestly," she speaks up after a few moments. "he's never really cared about girls except for family and some family friends. I guess you're different."

"Different, how?" I ask, confused.

"I think he sees you in a different light than most girls." she answers. "Most girls he just toys with and never really befriends, but you I'm not sure if he has feelings for you or what. one thing for sure though, he doesn't just see you as Tommy's little sister."

"I don't get it." I mumble.

"What?"

"Why he's so complicated." I answer. "I don't need him to worry about me."

"Riss?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry to tell you this, but if Ian does love you, wether it's in a friends or more than friends way, he will always protect you." she informs. "I'm not saying he loves you, but I can tell he feels something."

"Your mom's house is huge." I comment, slipping my shoes off.

"Yeah......" Mag trails, rubbing her arm. "Want to go to my room?"

"Sure." I follow Mag up the stairs and down the hall to her room. Her room was pretty simple she had gray walls with black and white accents and black carpet. The bed was a queen and has silver sheets and black pillows. There's a desk at the end of her bed and a closet and dresser on the opposite wall.

"Movie?" She asks.

"Pitch Perfect?" I retort.

She smiles and heads to her desk to pick up her laptop. "Bed or the floor?" I answer by hopping on the bed and making myself comfortable. Mag nods and plops down next to me, starting the movie.

~*~

"What next?" She asks.

"Avengers." I answer, stretching.

"I think Ian has it in his room" she comments when there is a loud knock at the door. "You get that and I'll get the movie." I nod and head downstairs. Before I can open the door it burst open to reveal two very bruised and battered males.

Kyle and Ian.

"Hi, Cupcake." Ian groans.
