"We're gonna get detention if we get caught," I comment, sneaking down the hallway with four idiots. "and we're gonna get-"
"Playing hooky, were you?" A deep voice asks. I turn around to come face to face with the Vice Principal.
"Hi." I say, waving.
"After school detention all five of you. Seniors?" he says and I nod. He sighs and hands us each a detention slip. "Now go on get to your last class, before I change it to Saturday detention."
The five of us split up; Kyle and Ian going in one direction and Trevor, Diego, and I in another. "I am never skipping with you guys ever again." I comment.
"Oh, come on, you know you had fun." Di says and Trevor nudges me.
"It doesn't matter, I got detention again and I have to spend it with you dip shits." I growl.
"You're so mean." Trevor comments, walking up to his locker.
"Good." I smile walking over to mine. I grab my books and stuff them in my backpack.
"We're going to the vending machine." Diego comments, gesturing to Trevor and himself. "Do you want anything?"
"Water and a granola bar, please." I answer. They nod and walk off as I drop my bag and lean against the lockers. After a few seconds my eyes close and my arms cross under my chest.
"Hey." a familiar voice greets. I open my eyes and see the smirking face of, none other than, Ian Rider.
"Hi." I reply, scratching my side.
"Mahogany has a fight tomorrow night, if you wanted to come......" he trails.
"I know; she told me already." I retort.
"So you're going?" He asks and I nod. "With her?" I nod again and smirk.
"I'm mainly going to talk with Angelillo." I say.
"What about?"
"Stuff." I smirk. "Where did Kyle go?"
"To tell coach he can't come to football practice."
"You guys are actually going to detention?" I ask, closing my eyes.
"Yeah....." he trails. "You're not?"
"No, I'm gonna skip and go home." I answer, opening my eyes when I hear the sound of Diego and Trevor walking down the hall.
As I turn to take my snack I feel strong hands grip at my waist and turn me around. "You're going to detention." Ian says, throwing me over his shoulder. "Trev, grab her backpack."
I hear a grumble erupt from Trevor's throat when the bell rings. As people start to crowd the hallway they stare at Ian and I. I feel like some people are staring at my ass, too. "Ian, can you please let me down?" I beg.
"No."
"But I'm getting the feeling that people are staring at my ass." I whisper and he stiffens for a couple moments. He sighs and puts me back down on my own two feet. His hand latches onto mine before I start walking and pulls me to his side. "I need to pee."
Ian groans and stops. "Go to the room without us we'll be there in a few." He pulls me in the direction of the girls bathroom as the crowded school hallways start to empty. Once we reach the bathroom door he lets go of my hand and nods for me to enter. I walk in and head I the direction of a stall. Once I finish doing my business I wash my hands and walk out of the bathroom. When I walk out I see Ian leaning against the wall with his eyes closed.
"Hey, pretty boy, let's get a move on." His eyes snap open and I chuckle walking in the direction of the detention room. "Why do you go to detention?"
"Arnaldo is my mothers older brother," he starts, falling into step with me. "If I skip detention he would have my ass and so would my mother. Kyle's actually my cousin, too."
"Wait, so you are Latin?" I ask and he nods in conformation. "And you're Irish?"
"Yep."
"So you got the Latin genes while Mahogany got the Irish genes." I say.
"Basically," he chuckles. "but Mahogany has the attitude of a Latina woman." I nod and giggle a bit as we walk inside the room.
"Ian, Iris, you are late. I should give you Saturday detention, but I don't want to come in tomorrow." Mr. A comments, writing our names down. Ian and I make our way to where we sat last week.
"Sorry, but this is only Friday Detention Número Dos." I retort.
"And I hope it's that last one." he mumbles making me chuckle.
"Doesn't Miss. Pior have Senior's Saturday detention this month?" Santiago asks.
"Yes, but she can't come in tomorrow so I have to." he sighs.
"Can I have my water and granola bar?" I ask Diego as my stomach growls. He throws the water bottle and I catch it, but no granola bar flies toward me. I raise an eyebrow and he points to Kyle. my head turns to the side to find that Kyle is munching on something. He smiles and shows bits of granola in his teeth. "Asino. (Jackass)"
"Tsk tsk tsk." Kyle sighs, leaning back in his chair. "Is that anyway to talk to the person that has your food?"
"Food?" I ask. Kyle nods and pulls a granola bar from behind his back. "Oh dearest, Kyle, I love you so so much. Will you please give me my granola bar?"
"Here you are." he smirks, handing me the food. "And I love you, too."
"Thank you." I grin, pecking his cheek before opening the packet.
After I finish my granola bar I rest my head on the desk listening to the boys conversations. "Since we got detention we aren't aloud to have anyone over for the weekend." Tia comments, turning around in his seat. "So do you wanna come over on Monday or Tuesday?"
"Sure." Kyle chirps.
"Wasn't talking to you, man." Tia rolls his eyes. "I was talking to Riss because she was supposed to meet Mamma today."
Kyle frowns and sinks back into his chair. "What if I wanted to see Mamma or Sophia?"
"Who's Sophia?" I ask, curiously, raising my head.
"Our little sister." Diego answers.
"You have a little sister?" I gasp. "I feel so bad for her."
"What's that supposed to mean?" The twins ask in unison. Ian, Trevor, Kyle and I bust out laughing and I feel like I'm about to die from lack of oxygen. Santiago and Diego keep looking at each other than back at us and eventually they both crack a smile.
"Quite down!" Arnaldo shouts. "I really don't want to come in tomorrow." The boys laugher stops while mine just softens to a chuckle.
I'm glad I have these idiots.
But don't tell them I said that........
For real I'm warning you!
