"Sam!" I shout, slipping my shoes on. "I'm going to Mahogany's house."
"Okay!" She shouts as I shut the door.
"Ready?" Asks Mags as she leans against her car.
"Yeah." I nod walking toward her.
"Nice hoodie." she smiles, looking me up and down I smile back and look down at my clothes. I have on a pair of jean shorts and a Blink-182 hoodie on. Comfy, yet cute; causal, yet... I got nothing. Its just shorts, a tank top, and a hoodie. Not that special.
"Thanks." I say getting in the passengers seat. She nods and starts the car.
"When are you going to learn to drive?" She asks, making a turn.
"Never?" I ask.
"I'm not gonna drive you around forever." she huffs.
"Love you, too." I smile and she rolls her eyes. We stop at Starbucks and grab some coffee before heading to her mom's.
"Tell my Ian I'm spending the night at your house." Mag says.
"Sure." I agree, getting out of the car my coffee in hand. As I reach my hand out to open the door it swings open. "Iris, how lovely to see you." Vivian smiles.
"Hi, Ms. Vivian." I smile back.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, letting me in.
"I'm helping Ian watch James." I answer, taking my shoes off. "Afterwards Mags and I are going shopping and she's coming over to my house."
"Why are you helping Ian?" She asks.
"He told me he's not much of a kid person and I am so..." I trail, putting my hands in my pockets.
"Well James isn't that difficult." she says, slipping on a pair of heels. "If you could help me out by making him do his homework, I'd appreciate it."
"Sure thing, I'll help him out if you want. He's in kindergarten, right?" I ask.
"No, 12th grade." she smiles and I laugh. "Make sure they both start their homework and I'll be sure to give you some money next time I see you."
"Oh, you don't have to." I retort.
"It's fine" she shakes her head and grabs a coat. "Devon!"
"Coming!" A deep voice responds.
"Ian is upstairs in his room and James is napping right now." she comments. I nod and walk upstairs to Ian's room.
"Hey." I greet Ian as I walk into his room. His room has dark gray walls with light gray shaggy carpet. He has a king sized futon bed with storage underneath. The room wasn't as messy as I had expected. Just a pile of dirty clothes in the corner and some wrappers surrounding his trash can.
Ian looks up from his phone and smiles up at me. "Hey, Cupcake." He takes out one of his earbuds and pats the space next to him on the bed.
"What are you listening to?" I ask, sitting down.
"Random stuff." he answers, offering me an ear bud. I take it and place it in my ear before laying my head on his arm. November Rain plays in my ears and I start to hum to the tune. "You like Guns n' Roses?"
"Yeah." I answer, yawning. I got barely any sleep last night because we didn't get home until 12 something.
"Tired?" He asks, I nod. He pulls the blankets up over me and slides down the head board. We end up under the covers with my head laying on his chest.

"Ian!" A tiny voice shouts with a grumble following. "Ian!"
I open my eyes and sit up to see a little boy staring at me. "Ian!" He screams. "There's a girl in your bed!"
"James, shut up!" Ian yells.
"But there's a girl in your bed," he retorts. "and I'm hungry." Ian mutters a few incoherent words before I speak up.
"I can make him something." I say, getting up. I grab James' hand and walk to the door.
"I'll be down in a minute." Ian shouts.
"What do you want?" I ask James.
"Who are you?" He asks.
"I'm Iris." I smile, leading him down the steps.
"Are you Ian's friend?"
"Yeah." I nod.
"Ian's not very nice to me." he frowns.
"He's not? Why's that?" I ask and he shrugs. "Well I'll be nice to you."
"Cereal." he says as we walk into the kitchen.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"I want cereal." he says and I nod. I pick him up and sit him on a bar stool.
"What kind?" I ask, opening the pantry.
"Cheerios." he answers. I pull out the Cheerios and put them in a bowl before adding milk. "Here you are." I smile putting the bowl and spoon in front of him.
"Thank you." he smiles, stuffing his mouth. I smile back and take a seat on the counter top.
"You want anything?" Ian asks, walking in and raiding the pantry.
"No." I reply, taking out my phone. He makes himself a bowl of cereal and leans on the counter space next to me. I look at his bowl of Lucky Charms and regret not asking for some.
"You want some?" He chuckles and I nod. He sticks his spoon out to me and I move my head. As I open my mouth to take a bite he moves it from my reach.
"Hey." I complain, looking up at him.
"If you want it you have to get it." he says, smirking. I huff and try to take a bite as he continues to move it. I give up and he just smiles directing it to my mouth like a mother would her toddler.
"Ian?" James pipes up.
"What?" Ian groans, stuffing his mouth.
"Why is there a girl here?" He asks, looking at me.
"She's here to make sure I don't kill you." Ian answers. I slap his arm when he says kill and he smirks while wiping his mouth. His eyes don't leave mine for a second as he takes another bite of cereal.
"What are you doing?" James chuckles. Ian glares at him until I touch his arm.
"Do you wanna have some fun?" I ask.
"Yeah." James nods vigorously.
"How about we go to the park?" I smile.
"Can we?" he asks looking up at Ian. Ian looks at me an I nod to show that I want to go.
"Fine." he sighs. James jumps up out of his chair and runs out of the kitchen.
"I guess I'll go get dressed." Ian grumbles, putting his bowl in the sink.
"You don't have to come if you don't want to. I can watch him by myself." I comment.
"Nah, he's my responsibility and I need to get out of the house any who." he shrugs. "I'll be ten minutes." he says, making his way to his room. I walk into the living room and just wait for the two to come downstairs so we can leave.
