Chapter 10: In the name of loveI can't sleep.
My eyes and mind are wide awake. I'm just listening to some music from YouTube while I am laying diagonally on the edge of my bed. Tamad 'kong inabot
ang cellphone ko sa bedside table para tingnan ang oras.1:11 am, that's what the analog clock says.
I groaned in confusion before sitting up. I opened my Facebook account- na hindi ko naman talaga ginagamit - bago nag-scroll down. There's nothing much on my newsfeed. I don't have any Facebook friends. None.
My conscience asked me.
You couldn't blame me, I either delete friend requests from strangers or they delete mine.
As I opened my balcony's door, the cold air welcomed me. I watched how the trees bristle as the wind passed by, creating a small peaceful smile on my face. I can clearly see our garden up here, with its small fairy lights, and beautiful flowers and trees, it's so aesthetic.
I fastly walked on the tree's branch, creating a rustling sounds and hugged its trunk when I reached the end. Tahimik akong tumalon pababa at tumakbo papuntang likod ng garden namin.
The little fairy lights are wonderfully placed on the tree's and flowers, making the garden more cozy and aesthetically pleasing.
I stepped on the big rock near the wall before I climbed my way up and swiftly jumping down without making any noise.
I know that I probably look like some 'akyat-bahay' with the way I climb up and jump down, lol.
This is like one of my hobby when I can't sleep. Hindi ko alam pero, it gives me the sense of running away, breaking free; and living outside the cocoon like a free and beautiful butterfly.
My feet reached outside our village. I just found myself walking towards the highway's bridge.
I breathe in some air as I placed my hands above the metallic railings, sighing in contentment while looking in front of me. I watched how the water reflects the moon. So beautiful.
I wish I had a car or someone I know owns one. Imagine late nights or early morning rides and taking instagramable pictures on the road. Fuwah~ hehe. 'You know, like those ones I see on Pinterest, street aesthetic. Kaka-pinterest ko 'to eh.
But yeah, we can't deny that everything seems much better at night.
"Calming," I whispered.
My feet decided to walk further. Few cars are passing by me, making me feel a bit envious.
