The Scarves

Hermione left the Head Boy and Head Girl's dorm after saying goodbye to Draco, her boyfriend. Her next class was Care Of Magical Creatures, so she wrapped her scarf around her neck and headed out.

When she got to Care Of Magical Creatures, everyone was staring at her. She didn't know why. Did she do something wrong? She walked over to Harry and Ron.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" She asked her best friends.

"You do realize you're wearing a Slytherin Scarf, right?" Harry asked her, smirking.

Hermione looked down at her scarf and, indeed, she had a dark green and silver striped scarf wrapped around her neck.

Ron matched Harry's smirk. "You got something to tell us, 'Mione?"

"I must have grabbed Draco's scarf by accident! Oh, shit!" She thought.

Draco waited about 10 minutes before going off to Care Of Magical Creatures. He knew he was late, but it was worth it. Hermione didn't want to lose her friends, so they decided to keep their relationship secret. Draco walked out and headed to his class.

He walked outside and was hit by the cold wind that turned his ears red in almost an instant. He took his scarf and wrapped it around his neck. He walked to Care Of Magical Creatures. When Draco got there, he stopped. Everyone was staring at him. He quickly walked over to Pansy and Blaise. He gave them questioning and confused looks.

"You're wearing a Gryffindor scarf, and Granger's wearing a Slytherin scarf." Blaise informed him.

"Don't you think that's a bit odd, Draco?" Pansy smirked.

Draco looked over to Hermione who was looking over at him with panicky eyes. Hagrid started talking and Draco took this chance to walk over to Hermione.

"How did we not notice the scarves?!" Hermione said, freaking out.

"I don't know!" Draco told her.

They turned around to notice everyone staring at them. Draco looked at Hermione and decided what to do. He kissed her. He was done hiding their relationship and if Hermione's friends didn't accept them, then she should get new friends. He knew if Hermione wasn't okay with what he did she would pull away. But she didn't. She kissed him back with the same amount of passion as he kissed her.

After what seemed like years, they finally pulled away. It started out slow, then it became clear. The class was clapping for them. Hermione slowly turned toward the class as did Draco. They both looked at each other and smiled. Hermione gave Draco a tight hug before walking back to her friends with a smile on her face.

"You guys act like you were so good at keeping it a secret." Pansy said, rolling her eyes. 

"Dude, the whole fucking school knew. We were just waiting for you guys to come clean." Blaise grinned. 

Draco shrugged. "Well, we came clean."

"'Mione, you aren't that good at keeping secret, you know that, right?" Ron asked when Hermione came back. 

"What do you mean?" She asked, crossing her arms. 

"We already knew. As did the whole school." Harry said, snickering. "We're happy for you, Hermione. If he makes you happy, that's all that matters."

Hermione smiled and hugged her friends. "You guys are the best."
