Fights And Kisses

hermione shoved her way through the crowd to see malfoy on top of adrien pucey, punching him consecutively.

"draco!" hermione yelled and pulled him off adrien. "hey, calm down!"

"don't you ever touch her again!" draco yelled at adrian.

adrien got up, whipping blood from under his nose, smearing it across his face. "sure, malfoy."

hermione stood in front of draco. "hey, it's okay."

draco looked down at her and his eyes softened. he pulled her into a hug. "i'm sorry." he buried his face into the crook of her head.

she rubbed his back. "it's okay, it's okay."

he hugged her tighter.

"why did you fight adrien? i told you to leave it."

"i'm not letting a rapist get away." draco said stiffly.

"draco, you can't protect me all the time. you can't beat up every single person who hurts me, or looks at me wrong."

"okay, but this one didn't look at you wrong. he raped you, hermione."

"draco! i know what he did to me, i went through it!"

draco looked sad. "i'm sorry."

hermione sighed. "it's alright, draco. i've told you that. come on, let's get you cleaned up."

hermione sat him down on a bed in the hospital wing. she grabbed a rag, bowl of water, and some bandages.

she dipped the rag in the water, took draco's hands and started to lightly dab his knuckles.

he winced and hissed. "fuck."

"it's just water, you ferret."

he glared at her.

hermione finished up his knuckles and started on his face. she felt his nose. "well you failed at breaking your nose."

"thank god. i'm too good-looking for that."

hermione rolled her eyes. "whatever, draco."

draco watched her as she dabbed his wounds. her eyes flickered to meet his. "yes?"

he put his fingers under her chin and lifted her face up to his. "can i kiss you?"

hermione swallowed and nodded.

draco placed his lips on hers. at first, hermione was frozen. then, draco melted her and she fell into his kiss.

he pulled away and rested his forehead against hers.

"what was that for?" she asked.

"for being so beautiful, so effortlessly." draco replied softly.

hermione smiled and gave him a small kiss. "promise no more fighting?"

"i won't."

hermione raised an eyebrow.

"i swear it. on dumbledore's grave."

hermione got up to put the bowl away, but draco pulled her back down by the waist.

"draco, i have to put these things away."

"one more kiss?" draco murmured.

"you can have as many as you want after i put this stuff away."

"deal."

the second she got back, he pulled her into his lap and kissed her.
