"Hey! It's you," a voice from down the hall called out. I lifted my head and saw Noah, walking towards me with his hands in his pocket. He definitely looked every bit the "bad boy" he's known to be.

"Oh, yeah it's me. Hi," I said softly.

"Come on, I'll walk you to class."

I paused. "Um, okay thanks."

"You don't need to thank me all the time. It's no big deal," Noah responded.

At that moment, Spencer ran up from behind me and shoved a milk carton in front of my face.

"Drink this. You'll need healthy bones to not trip again," he teased, passing me the carton.

I stared at him. Why did he buy me this? "Thanks but just so you know, I prefer chocolate!"

"Hmm. Next time," he said, then looked at Noah. "Hey, what's going on?"

Noah walked up closer to him. "If you'll excuse us, I'm taking her to class."

"I'll go too. I'm in the same homeroom as Lauren," Spencer replied.

Noah shrugged and we started walking.

"So how do you two know each other?" wondered Spencer.

"We work together," said Noah as we turned the corner.

"So... Noah Wilson. Why didn't you tell me you started working?" a voice from in front of us asked. "I had to learn about it through some random girl who was gossiping with her friends. Even they knew and they're all nobodies."

Amelia. She stood in front us with her hands on her hips, staring right at Noah.

"You used to tell me everything." Amelia then looked at me and quickly scowled. She looked at the milk carton and turned her attention back to Noah.

"You used to buy me drinks too. What changed?" she whispered. With one last glance at Noah, Amelia turned around and ran away. In her hurry, she didn't notice her friend Esme standing behind her.

Esme walked right up to Noah. "Broke her heart again." Then, with one look at Spencer and I, she sashayed away.

"What was that about?" Spencer inquired.

"Nothing. Come on, we might be late," Noah hurried us.

"Wow, I never thought you would care about being late or not," I smiled, nudging him. I wanted to forget about Amelia and what she said. "You become cooler everyday."

Spencer looked at me in horror. "Hey! I've always been cool. Did you ever notice?"

Noah took one look at Spencer and burst out laughing. "Whatever, Ellis."
