Chapter 10: The Day Of Unity (part 1)

Luz carried Amity towards the center of the mall. It was still silent. "I'm here Belos!" she called out, "Now let them go!" "Foolish human," he said from everywhere at once, "You and your friends would have suffered either way... In order for the day of unity to commence all wild witches must be eliminated. Which means Augustus, Willow, Hunter, Amity, and yourself must be dealt with." Luz growled at the Emperor. "Show yourself you coward!" she demanded. "Gladly," he obliged, appearing behind the human girl. Everyone around them gasped in horror and started running out of the mall. Amity nodded at Luz and called their staffs out of the abandoned store. Amity quickly cast a healing spell on her ankle and landed, grabbing Owlbert in the process. Luz grabbed hold of Rose and faced Belos. The evil emperor cackled as his eyes turned red. His arms turned into a black goo like substance and he roared. Luz and Amity showed no sign of fear. Suddenly, an something hit Belos in the back of the head and exploded. He whipped around and saw two hooded figures on the balcony. He roared at them but Luz an Amity started bombarding him with fire spells before he could attack the figured. The figures jumped down off the balcony and helped the witches. One was definitely a witch, throwing spell after spell at the emperor. The other was wielding melee weapons with glyphs attached to them. They held a mace with an ice glyph on it, much like the one Luz had at Grom. They also wielded a sword with a fire glyph on it. Luz and Amity were amazed by the two, but still kept their focus on Belos. The witch threw a spell at the emperor. "Sleep spell!" she shouted, revealing her to be a female. It didn't put the emperor to sleep, but it did weaken him, giving Luz and Amity the chance to hit him harder. The other one was a little shorter than the first, but they were just as strong. They jumped at Belos and hit him with the mace, causing an ice spike to impale him. They chucked a little. "Is that all you got?" she asked cockily, revealing herself to be a female as well. The emperor roared and made little demon hands rise up from the ground and grab three of the four witches that stood before him. The only one he didn't grab was Amity. "Blight," he said, his voice sounding demonic, "It was always your dream to join my coven. So I give you one last chance. Join me in my coven, a spot has just opened up. You could be the head of my coven. You could be respected, feared, seen any way you want to be seen. What is your choice? Join me? Or die with these pathetic wild witches." "As enticing as your offer is," said Amity, "I would rather die with the only friends I've ever had than join your stupid coven. I would rather die with... with the girl I love." Luz realized who she was talking about and blushed. Amity realized what she said and fought back her blush. "So be it," he said, blasting her with red energy. Amity flew back and hit a wall, causing her to fall unconscious. One of the strange witches broke free of Belos' hold and blasted him, causing him to let go of the other two. Luz ran to Amity and picked her up. One of the witches grabbed Amity's staff off the ground. Luz then led the other two witches to their hideout in the abandoned store. When they arrived, the cardinal hopped off of Hunter's staff and flew towards the four. Owlbert flew off of Amity's staff and Rose flew off of Luz's staff. The three palismen started conversing in their adorable palisman language. Luz gently set Amity down on the floor. "Who are you two?" asked Luz. "We are not able to tell you," said one, "We have helped all we can." The shorter one took off her hood to reveal a pale girl with purple hair with dark brown highlights. She looked to be about 16. "We must go now. Good luck, Luz." The girls then fled. Luz was curious as to how the girl knew her name, but she was brought out of her thoughts when Amity moved slightly. "Ami!" exclaimed Luz, "You're okay!" "Y-yeah," she said. Luz blushed. "Amity," she said, "You said that you'd rather die with the girl you love. W-Were you talking about me?" Amity blushed. "I was.." she confessed, "I get it if you don't feel the same. I-" Amity was cut off by Luz kissing her. Amity melted into the kiss and into Luz's arms. They broke the kiss about three minutes later, in need of air. "Of course I feel the same, Ami," said Luz with a smile, "I love you, Amity Blight." "I love you too, Luz Noceda," responded Amity. The two sat there in each other's arms just thinking about what had happened. "What happened to the other two?" asked Amity. "They left," replied Luz, "They said the couldn't help anymore. One of them even knew my name." "That's a bit weird," said Amity. "Yeah," said Luz, "But we can't think about it. We have to find Willow, Gus, and Hunter." "We can help with that," said a familiar voice. Luz and Amity looked up to see Eda, King, and Lilith. "Now come on kid," said Eda, "We have an emperor to defeat."
