Yéreana was in her bedroom sitting on her bed shackled to the wall. She sighes and looks around she hasn't been this room for ages. The door opens and her father walks in and smiles t her "My child you're awake. Ready to talk?" She scoffs "About what? That your working with the enemy?" Saruman chuckles and sits down on the bed "I'm still your father" Yéreana looks at him with tears in her eyes. "No you're not. My father was a kind and wise man who was not a coward. When i look at you i see only a shadow" Saruman chuckles and takes a hold of Yérena's neck and starts choking her "You will thank me" and then pulls away and Yérena puts out a long deep breath. Saruman stands up and walks up to the door but before he leaves he turns to her "We will speak later" He leaves and closes the door.
Joanna is home in the castle at Rohan thinking about Dérowyn when she hears horses, She sighes in relief because that means her brother is alright. She runs out to the balcony but what she sees is not a sight she wished. She sees her cousin Eomer holding her brother who is lifeless. Joanna lets out a scream and starts sobbing, not her brother too.
Joanna lies in her room feeling lifeless. Not her sweet older brother, he rock. She walks out of her room and walks to the room where Théodred is laying and her cousins Eómer and Eowyn is sitting by the bed. They turn when they see her by the door. "He really is dead isn't he?" Eowyn walks up to Joanna and tries to hug her but Joanna shakes her off and walks up to her brother. She chuckles "Why Théodred? You promised you wouldn't leave me and i believed you. And here you are dead." She starts crying "I can't do this without you" Eómer looks at her with tears in his eyes feeling so guilty. "I'm sorry" Joanna turns and looks at her cousin and takes his hands in her own "I don't blame you Eómer it's not your fault" He shakes his head "I should have protect him" Joanna shakes her head "My brother was the most stubborn person i knew. With father not being himself all Théodred has ever wanted was to prove himself and he would never had forgiven if you had saved him" Eómer chuckles "Yeah" He stands up and walks to Eowyn "We will go and speak to your father you can stay here with your brother if you want" Joanna smiles "Thank you but you know you will not get an answer from my father with Grima being there" Eómer sighes "I can try" Eowyn and Eomer walks out of the room. Joanna turns to her brother and takes his hand in her own and kisses it.
Eómer tries to talk with the king but it's hard especially with Grima being there and finally he has enough so he puts Grima against the wall to confront him. "How long is it since Saruman bought you? What was the promised price Grima. When all the men are dead you will take your share of the treasure" Grima tries to look for Joanna and Eómer knows that so he takes a grip around Grima's face. "I know who you're looking for. Too long you have watched my cousin. Too long have you haunted her steps" But Grima has something up his sleeve and two guards come up behind Eomér and pulls him off Grima. "You see much Eómer son of Eómund, too much. You are banished forthwith from the kingdom of Rohan under pain of death" The guards takes Eómer away.
Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn and Galadhien running down a hill still after the orcs and urukhai. They don't stop running not for one second. They need to find Merry and Pippin. Legolas turns and sees the sun "A red sun rises, Blood has been spilled this night" Aragorn sits down to see if he can find any footprint when they hear sound of horses so he tells them all to hide. Galadhien looks up and sees it's riders of Rohan.
Aragorn stands up "Riders of Rohan. What news from the mark?" The riders turns and ride up to them and form a circle around them.
A rider rides up to them "What business does two elves, a man and a dwarf have in the riddermark? Speak quickly!" Gimli looks at the man "If you give me your name horse-man i will give you mine" Galadhien sighes, that was not a smart move. She's right because the man is mad and jumps up his horse and walks up to Gimli "I would cut off your head dwarf if it stood but a little higher from the ground" Galadhien takes up one of her daggers and makes herself known to all the riders including the man who just threatened Gimli "I can throw this dagger and i promise you i don't miss"
Aragorn walks up to Galadhien and makes her put her dagger down "I'm Aragorn son of Arthorn, This is Gimli son of Gloin, Legolas of the woodland realm and Galadhien, daughter of lord Elrond. We are friends of Rohan and of Théoden your king" Eómer looks at Galadhien for a second longily before turning back to Aragorn. Legolas does not like how he looks at Galadhien so he gives Eómer a death stare. "Théoden no longer reconizes friend from foe, not even his own kin" Eómer sighes "Saruman has poisoned the mind of the king and claim lordship over these lands. My company are those loyal to Rohan and for that we are banished" Eómer takes a step closer to Aragorn "The white wizard is cunning. He walks here and there, they say as an old man and cloaked and everywhere his spies slips past our nets" "We are no spies" Aragorn answers "We track a party of Uruk-hai westward across the plain. They have takentwo of our friends captive" Eómer sighes "The Uruks are destroyed, they were slaughtered during the night" Gimli's eyes wide "There were two hobbits. Did you see two hobbits with them?" Aragorn turns to Eómer "They would be small, only children to your eyes" Eómer sighes "We left no survivors" Galadhien whispers "No" Eómer looks at them all "I'm sorry"
Eómer gives them two horses before the riders of Rohan leaves them Eómer turns to them "Look for your friends but do not trust for hope" Eómer turns to Galadhien and takes her hand and kisses it "Farewell my lady" She nods and that gesture makes Legolas even more jealous. Eómer and the other riders of Rohan rides away. They go up on the horses, Aragorn and Gimli on one and Legolas and Galadhien on the other one and they start riding. Galadhien just hopes they will find them alive.
Joanna has now lost her brother too :( I hope you guys like this chapter and please tell me your thoughts
