1:13 - The Big Day

"This is impossible" I said. Loki pulled me into a big embrace. "Darling, Midgardian or Asgardian. I still love you" I felt so comfortable in his embrace. I felt so reassured. "Now come. let's get to the great hall and start our day, yes?" He smiled as he held out his hand. I smiled and took his hand in mine as we left his room and walked two the great hall. We walked down the golden hallways of the palace until we reached the great hall. 

The hall was full with everyone celebrating. Guess this was the normal thing for Asgard. Parties and drinks in the most regal ways. "Another!" I heard someone shout as they threw the cup to the group and everyone laughed and was in uproars. "Yeah, that's Volstagg. he loves a good drink" Loki laughed. He pointed to some other people. "That's Lady Sif. She's beautiful yet such a strong and formidable warrior" She was stood talking to Thor and laughing with him. "That there is Hogun and next to him, that's Fandral" He was explaining to me that they were the warriors 3 and the most reliable warriors that have ever fought by Thor's side. "Brother! Over here!" Thor shouted. We walked over as he handed us both some beer. "Drink with us!" He said. An Asgardian party was incredible. Everyone laughed and there was so much shouting. 

As we all partied on and celebrated, I saw Loki keep glancing over at me from a distance while I was talking to Lady Sif. "You know, Loki had always been overshadowed when he was growing up with Thor. He had always been jealous, but you have changed him." She smiled. "He's not the Loki I once knew" It was so reassuring knowing that he had changed for me. All of a sudden, He stood up at the front with Thor, Odin and Frigga. "Family and Friends of Asgard. Today I have brought a special guest with us from Midgard." He looked at me ushering me to go and join him. "I would like to introduce you all to Madison or as I have recently found out ... Magnhildt Steffansdottir"  I stood next to him smiling at everyone who applauded and welcomed me. Odin came over to me. "Magnhildt, I knew your father. When I first met you yesterday I didn't once realise that you were the lost daughter of Asgard" I smiled shyly. I was getting so much attention that I wasn't used to. "My pet, come here to me" Loki spoke as he guided me and stood me where he wanted me to be stood. What was he doing? His mother and father and Thor all stood with an excited grin on their faces. I was so confused. 

"Madison, When I first met you, I was obsessed with wanting to rule and I apologise for you meeting me in my worst state. You have changed me for the better, my pet. Those countless nights of reading Shakespeare together and falling asleep with you in my arms, I couldn't imagine anything better. I knew you were no normal Midgardian and to find out that your true heritage was that of Asgard, I knew that you were the one for me." my eyes pricked with tears. I don't know what he was doing but he was speaking true to his heart and it made me so happy that he wanted to declare his love for me in front of everyone. All of a sudden, He was getting down on one knee. "Magnhilt Steffansdottir, Would you do me the greatest honour of becoming my wife" He smiled as he opened a small black ring box. It got me... I just cried. "Yes Loki, I will" As I gave him the biggest hug of my life before he smiled his gorgeous devilish smile at me. he took the ring out of the box and gently placed it on my finger. The ring had a Golden band that had a twisted kind of effect, encrusted with tiny black diamonds and a beautiful Green Emerald at the centre. 

I couldn't believe it. I was going to be marrying Loki. The love of my life. Now I know why the huge celebration. As I stayed at Loki's side with everyone coming to congratulate us, I could hear everyone singing Old Asgardian songs and cheering. "Welcome to the family... Sister" Thor said as he came over to me. "Thank you.. Brother" I laughed. Loki looked so happy that he could finally live out his life the way he wanted to. He had someone he could love forever and a family that could finally get along with him. 

The celebration went on for hours. We all drank so much wine and ale and we all laughed together. This was great. This was what I wanted. I wanted to be somewhere to finally be happy and I think Asgard is the place. It's my real home. Although it still never answered the question as to why my family took me to Midgard and never told me anything about my heritage. I didn't even know anything about my father. 

At the end of the night when night fell, everyone gathered outside for some celebratory fireworks.. Asgard style. I stood by Loki's side with his hands around my waist. "Here's to Forever, my pet" He said as he turned me around and gently kissed me. "Forever, My King" I smirked. He raised his eyebrow at me. "You wait till later, Pet. You do remember last time what happened when you called me that" He chuckled. "I know" We both laughed and smiled and celebrated long into the night.
