Burnt out

I draw out the katana from my left side and attack Kuro. He catches it with his right hand that still have armor on it. I forcefully push the katana harder as Kuro struggles to overpower me. His right hand guard starts to crack as I push my katana some more. Scared it will shatters, he summons another dark lance and swings it to my unguarded left side. It is futile, the lance breaks when it hits my strong armor. His hand guard breaks a few seconds later and he have no choice but to let my katana to cut through his armor.

Ugh! His armor is still strong. This katana can only scratches it. I draws back the katana, knowing it can't break the armor. Kuro takes this chance and jumps back away from me, thinking a new strategy to beat me. I take a deep breath, trying to relax myself despite knowing this form can break any moments because of the small time limit. Kuro then throws a lot of his dark lance towards me at once. Surprise with the attack, I use my wings to create a fire wall that burns the lances into ashes. He grits his teeth, can't believe that his attack is useless. He turns around and flies away, trying to run away.

I can't let him go like that, not after what he has done! I dash towards him and appear in front of him. He stops and decides to fight me again. He delivers a quick jab kick on my right ribs but I am able to notice and catch it before it hits. I pull him to me and make a drop kick on his abdomen, sending him flying on the ground. He moans in low voice as he tries to get back on his feet again. He summons another black lance and throw it towards me. I parry it with my left hand, shattering it completely into dust. He groans angrily as he stomps the ground a lot of times.

I fly towards him fast enough that he can't react at all. Tackling him with my strong armor, I fly upwards as the flames from my wings start to burn his armor, heating the armor little by little. Kuro starts to scream, feeling the heat all over his body burning slowly. His armor starts to turn into dark red because of the flame. I stop suddenly, sending him on the sky as I prepare my next attack. I draw back my right hand a little as I wait for the gravity to pull him down. The flame is all over his wings, making the wings unusable.

When he free fall towards me, I deliver a quick punch on his abdomen, cracking it some more. Then, I use my right knee to hit his armor, shattering it completely. I transfer all of my strength to my head and headbutt him hardly, breaking the helm to pieces in the first try. He surprises and try to hit me back with his left punch but I am able to dodge in the right time. I hold both of his hands and take the position to throw him to the ground. Urgh! What is happening? My strength iss leaving me. The knight armor suddenly shatters into small particles of light. The same goes with my other equipments.

Minori and I are forced to revert back to our former selves. Looks like it's already five minutes. I quickly hug Minori, protecting her as we fall on the ground. With my last bit of strength, I throw Minori away from me, in order to protect her. I don't have much strength. I can't move my limbs, not even for an inch. I look upwards, Kuro is gathering his energy as I pant hardly, feeling exhausted after the time limit for the 'Burn up' technique ran out. I am now in 'Burn out' status which I lose all my strength in return for drawing out almost 1000% of my power.

Kuro lands next to me, rubbing his forehead that I headbutt just now. He grins and put his right foot on my chest before pressing the foot. "Hahaha! I don't know what happen, but lady luck is on my side!" he laughs as he enjoying the torture. I can't do anything to defend myself but to scream in pain, hoping he will stop this torture. He increase the pressing power some more. Gahhh! Stop it! It hurts! He continues to laugh as I am desperate grasping for air. "Look... Someone is dying... Let me help you... To die!" he summons a small but long and sharp lance.

I gulp when I see the lance. I guess this is the end. I'm sorry, Leo. I failed to defend your kingdom... I can't do anything... I'm just a failure. Tears start to flow from my right eyes as Kuro takes aim right at my chest. He quickly stabs my chest but something is wrong. The lance doesn't stab me at all. I open my eyes and see a man wearing a butler outfit, smiling while looking at me and holding the lance that almost hits me in the chest. I'm worried about this new person. Is this person a friend or foe?
