Today my best friend Ponyboy asked me to watch a sunset with him. I've secretly liked him for about 3 months now and he probably has no clue. I slipped into my red floral summer dress and curled my brown hair that fell just below my shoulder blades. I finished off by adding a little make up and really nice shoes.
"Mom, I'm going out!" I yelled but the house was empty. "I wonder where she is" I mumbled grabbing a light jacket and walking outside.
There is a big open field where it's perfect to watch sunsets. It's a little bit away but I like walking. By the time I arrived Pony had already gotten there.
"Hey Chelsea" he said standing up and giving me a hug.
"Hi Pony" I said hugging him back.
"Your just in time" he spoke pointing towards the sky.
It was absolutely gorgeous! It started of deep red and fire orange but then got lighter to a soft pink and light yellow.
"Wow, this is really beautiful" I admired sitting next to Pony on the ground.
"Not as beautiful as you" he said honestly.
I looked over to him to find that he was staring back at me. His green-gray eyes were so endearing.
"What?" I choked surprised at what he had just said.
"Chelsea" he whispered tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear. He stared at me for a moment but then continued to speak. "I really like you" he finished a small smile creeping on his face.
I didn't answer him, I just slammed my lips against his. It felt like our lips melted into each others. We kissed for a few minutes then he finally pulled away.
"This is for you" he said pulling out a beautiful red rose.
"Thank you Pony" I squealed pecking his cheek. "Your so sweet"
The rest of the night was spent cuddled up with Ponyboy as the sun finally set.
