DEAR DIARY,

Today was amazing! I met new friends, I got into Gryffindor, and my roommates are great! Nothing is going wrong and it's all because I'm turning into this new version of me.

Really, I think Hogwarts is going to be some of the best years of my life and today was just the beginning of my adventures...

Peter and Penelope both stepped onto the Hogwarts Express with red faces and huffing out air.

As usual, they were running late, which was most definitely Penelope's fault but she wasn't ever going to admit that.

She had forgotten the key ingredient for the most important prank of her life so far, her homemade stink bombs, or as she liked to call them Dungbombs. She was quite proud of the name.

They had to turn back around, delaying them by around ten minutes, meaning they had to drive over many speed limits. Penelope then ended up getting pushed through the wall between platforms nine and ten by an annoyed Peter who had planned to be there a good hour earlier 'just to be safe'.

So, that's how they ended up searching through the many full compartments of Hogwarts students trying to find a place to sit. Peter eventually found a boy that he had met while getting his robes in Diagon Alley, James she thinks his name was, and ended up sitting with them and his two other friends. The compartment next to the boys was occupied by three girls who looked kind enough, so Penelope sat with them instead.

Conversation was easy between the original three girls who were acting like they had known each other for years. Penelope tried to add her own voice to the talking, but every time she tried she always got met with awkward silence and giggles.

Penelope didn't blame the girls for her exclusion though. They all enjoyed talking about things like their future studies and the boys in those classes and the ways they were going to leave a positive influence on the school. Each of the girls had a shared passion for following rules and learning as much as possible, and the old Penelope would've loved every second of it.

But the new Penelope was just bored by it.

So much so that she left the compartment to find her brother again. Not that she had to look very far. He hadn't moved since he first sat down, still in his compartment with his newest friends, laughing about something James had said. Peter was having a much better time than she was, and she didn't want to drag down the mood by entering.

However, it seemed the world had no care for what she wanted, as the quietest of the four boys looked over at where she stood, smiling at her and compelling her to walk in.

He had fluffy brown hair that flopped down to just above his eyes, getting in the way every time he looked down awkwardly. The boy seemed to do it a lot as he cast the gaze of his light green eyes to the floor the moment Penelope smiled back at him.

Noticing his friend's blushing face, the boy sitting next to him looked towards Penelope next. This boy had darker features and longer, black hair styled away from his face. His brown eyes bordered on being black and they held a colder feeling deep within them, but it's easily concealed by the charming smiles he sends to everyone watching.

"Penny!" Peter was tapping on the window from inside the compartment, gesturing for her to come in and moving to open the door so that she couldn't refuse.

She took a few steps forward, feeling an awkward fondness of having the boys' attention on her.

"Guys, this is my sister, Penelope." Peter hit his hands on her shoulders, talking louder than she had ever heard him talking before. Talk about being a completely different person...
