Dear diary,

Sophie and Lily took me to Hogsmeade this weekend and I had so much fun. The only problem was Remus was ill the whole time, and I wanted to spend time with him instead. I want him to kiss me. I want him to say he loves me. I want him to ask me out. I want to help him get better.

But I couldn't because his stupid friends think they know what he needs better than I do. How could they know him better than me? I'm the love of his life, for Merlin's sake! I know him better than I know myself. I love him so much that I never want to see him in pain. None of those idiotic boys could ever love him or look after him like I do...

"Remus is just so dreamy." Penelope sighed as she stared out of the window of The Three Broomsticks.

Lily and Sophie were in the booth opposite her, listening to her lovesick rants about Remus. It was a complete change in emotion to the other day in potions. She was so shut off about the kiss that she and Remus had shared, but now she was confessing her never ending love like it was the most obvious thing in the world. And he wasn't even her boyfriend yet.

"I wish I was the one looking after him instead of James and Peter. They don't know him like I do." Penelope pouted as she stared in front of her at the new notepad she had bought a few hours ago. "Do you have a quill?" She asked the two.

Lily searched her pockets and pulled out an odd looking clear and black thin tube thing. "I have a muggle pen?"

"That'll do!" Penelope smiled and opened the notebook, grabbing the pen and taking a few moments to wonder how to use it.

Sophie sighed at the lovestruck girl, turning to Lily instead. "Do you want another butterbear?"

Lily thought for a second before answering. "Yeah, sure."

Sophie turned in her seat, but stopped herself from getting up when she noticed a familiar student walking towards them. "Oh, hey, Harvey." She smiled, opting to turn around again and offer him the empty seat next to Penelope in the booth, who was now doodling in her notebook.

Harvey looked like he was mulligan over a decision in his head when he slid into the booth. "Uh, hey guys." His gaze hung on Penelope for a while longer, staring at her with guilt.

"Are you okay?" Lily asked, leaning onto the table more with a head tilt.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Harvey faked a smile, turning his head back to Penelope. "Is she okay, though?"

"Well- Kinda-" Lily stumbled over her words before Sophie cut her off.

"She's deeply in love with Remus. Won't shut up about it." Sophie told him, just in time for the girl to lift her head from her focus on her doodle.

"Remus? We're talking about Remus?" Penelope had a large smile on her face, tapping the pen on the paper in front of her.

"No!" Sophie shouted, not wanting to talk about the marauder any longer.

"Oh, okay." Penelope's mood flattened immediately going back to her notebook again.

"What are you drawing, Penny?" Harvey asked, pulling the notebook from the girl into the middle of the table.

On the page was a drawing of a large heart with 'Remus + Penny' in it, surrounded by bunches of little smaller hearts.

"Oh, wow." Lily tried to find a positive aspect of the doodle, looking between the page and her cheerful best friend.

"Really, wow." Sophie added.

Harvey waited a moment to say anything, looking like he would be guilty of committing murder if he didn't say his next words. "Remus is a werewolf."

The statement was fast and quiet, but the three girls could make out what he said anyway.

"I'm sorry?"

"What?"

"Harvey, what are you talking about?" Penelope was the only person who didn't seem to believe him. Sophie and Lily looked shocked at the revelation, not that Penelope wasn't, but she didn't think that Harvey would make up something so ridiculous.

"I found Wolfsbane next to his bed. And he falls sick every full moon. It's not a coincidence I know it isn't." Harvey was adamant that he was right.

"Oh my Merlin." Sophie whispered,

"He does get ill every month." Lily realised. "He skips out on at least one of our study sessions around full moons."

"You're crazy!" Penelope seemed outnumbered in her disbelief, but that didn't matter. "Even if he is a werewolf, what does it change?" She tried to defend the boy. "He's absolutely perfect. I love him so much that I don't care. You guys shouldn't care either."

"Oh, come on, Penelope!" Harvey shouted. "What's wrong with you? Are you under a love potion or something? You can't love him that much to be over it so quickly. He's been lying to you guys over something really serious-"

"Harvey!" Penelope shouted, not liking the verbal attack on her best friend.

"Wait, Harvey, you're right." Lily gasped, thinking over his words.

"Lily, Remus is your best friend! How could you say that he's right about Remus being a liar and-"

"No, not that." Lily dismissed her, turning to Sophie and Harvey. "Penny's under a love potion."

"Remus would never do that to her, Lils. You know that." Sophie doubted the redhead, but she was set on her conclusion.

"Well, he didn't tell you about other things did he? Maybe it's just another of his evil little monster plans." Harvey argued.

"Harvey! He's not a monster. Don't be so rude. He's still Remus, he hasn't changed." Lily berated him, trying to get herself to believe her own words. "What I meant was at breakfast on Tuesday, Penny asked Remus to put a 'painkiller potion' in her hot chocolate. I thought it was suspicious, but I didn't question it but-"

"It was amortentia?" Sophie filled in the blank.

"It had the same characteristics, yeah." Lily sighed, looking towards Penelope who had gone back to her drawing. "The only thing I can't figure out is, why would she do it?"

"I guess we'll figure it out when it wears off." Harvey grumbled.

"We need to take away her potions stuff right?" Sophie suggested. "She can't do this again, we need to make sure of it."

"We'll make sure." Lily assured.

"A werewolf and a psychopath. Wow, what a pair." Harvey quipped before he got up and left the building. Leaving Lily and Sophie to stare at Penelope in pity, in a deep daydream about Remus.
