"Kitty, I'm sorry about how I reacted, it's just I have this tendency to turn into an absolute mess when ugh..."
"Someone kisses you with no warning?" Chat Noir answered, well his Adrien was starting to shine, probably due to being flustered.
"Let's go with that, sure. But I guess what I'm trying to say is, the feeling's mutual chaton. Spending that much time together got me thinking and I realized that, I love you too."
Then they sealed the deal with a kiss.
That was one week ago, the night after that unusual akuma attack. Since then, they'd both been the happiest they could ever be.
It pained Adrien not to be able to publicly display his affection to her at school, but he'd make up for that with the nightly visits, which had become a lot more frequent.
He would visit her the second the sun sets, and he would stay there until dawn sometimes.
Of course, their parents new about their new relationship status and... Well, that was a fiasco all on its own.
"Welp, maman, papa, you'd be glad to hear that Chat Noir and I are official." Marinette announced, her voice blunt and her expression flat as Chat stood beside her awkwardly.
                              "OUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED"
                              "ABOUT TIME"
                              "SO WHEN'S THE WEDDING?"
"WE ALREADY HAVE A VISION FOR THE CEREMONY'S CAKE"
"I HAVEN'T EVEN GRADUATED HIGHSCHOOL HOW CAN YOU START DISCUSSING MARRIAGE." Marinette retaliated, her face beet red.
Chat just stood awkwardly his face just as red as Marinette, refusing to interfere as Tom and Sabine essentially planned his future with their daughter, bless them.
At least they were supportive, and he appreciated it that. And he's had the best week in his life ever since. Even his father hasn't been as pushy as usual. He'd been too busy in his study with work probably, but Adrien didn't complain. It allowed him some more 'freedom' that he badly craved.
He also craved physical affection and Marinette caught on to that through his seemingly clingy attitude of always wrapping her in a hug, holding her hand, or cuddling with her till she slept. Can't say she was surprised considering his harsh and cold family life.
But those weren't the only things they'd do when he visits. Tom would teach him a new recipe every other day, which weren't always of pastries and sweets. Was he sending him a subliminal message or something?
In any case, Adrien more than welcomed the 'father son' moments, even though he wasn't really part of the family, Tom certainly made him feel like he belonged there. Marinette would sometimes joke and say that he was her father's favorite.
But that wasn't his favorite thing about the visits.
His absolute favorite thing to do was get to watch her as she meticulously made her prom dress.
She put so much thought into every thread, she poured all of her attention on every tiny detail.
Watching her work was absolutely graceful and majestic because it was something she truly liked and wouldn't settle for anything less than perfect. And Chat would gladly watch her do that all day. It was somewhat relaxing.
He wondered how stunning her dress would look once it's finished. And perhaps, in the near future something might happen and he ends up revealing himself to her, maybe then he'll ask her to be his date.
