Chapter three

My eyes opened slowly as I felt sunshine peeking through, I groaned as I rolled over, feeling something in the way. My eyes widened as I remembered where I was. Colby was sleeping there peacefully, his arm around my body, my breathe hitched as I placed my hand on my head, I had to get out of here..
I slowly unwrapped his arm from me, causing him to groan, shuffling to face the other way, I felt a sense of relief fly over me knowing he wasn't waking up. I slowly got out of the comfortable bed, I felt ashamed of what I did last night, it wasn't like me at all..even if it was really amazing, and he was very attractive. I placed my foot off the bed and got up, reaching down for my clothes, I hurried to shove them on me. I picked up my purse and began walking to the door, as I reached for the door handle I turned back to look at Colby again one last time, but he was sitting up, a small smile on his face while the sunlight peered over his eyes, they were such a beautiful blue.. "Running away already..?" He mumbled in a morning voice, making my heart skip a beat,
"Im sorry..I just have to go meet Cassie.." I lied, Colby rolled his eyes, "You weren't even going to give me your number? You say this is your first time, but you're playing it off like a pro.." He grinned, I faked a smile and stepped away from the door, reaching for his phone on the bed, "Sorry.." I mumbled, Colby chuckled softly, reaching for his phone, unlocking it and handing it back to me. I hurried to enter my number, handing the phone back to him, he then dialled the number, causing my phone to ring loudly from my purse, he then grinned aimlessly, hanging up the call. "Let me walk you out, you need a taxi right?.." He began to get out of bed, I turned away, knowing he was naked, "Mhm.."
Once he threw on a t shirt and sweat pants, he called the taxi and we begun making our way downstairs.

"You're lucky the roommates are asleep. They must've partied hard.." Colby said as we walked down the stairs, I held onto my purse nervously, "That's very good news for me.."
We stepped to the front door and Colby stared at me with his ocean eyes, I didn't know what he felt at the moment, but I felt so anxious, I really wasn't used to this kind of thing, Colby grinned at me suddenly,
"I wish you'd stay for breakfast."
"I would..but-"
"I know..you have to go..listen, I want to see you again sometime.." He admitted, causing me to nod, "Are you asking or demanding?" i grinned too now, he chuckled and shook his head, "Asking."
"I'd like that.." I smiled, "Great..and it's okay I text you right?" He asked, I nodded, "Cool..and so..can you finally tell me if I claimed the place of first?" He grinned as he crossed his arms, "You did."
He chuckled and nodded, "I knew I could be.."
"Ill see you later.." I smiled  as I opened the front door, I turned to look back at Colby as I walked to the front gates, the taxi waiting for me, Colby leaned against the door, waving at me, a cute smile on his face.

I picked up my phone and looked at the new number as I sat in the cab. Feeling myself get butterflies as I thought about Colby, I rolled my eyes at myself, I couldn't like someone just yet. He's my rebound.
I set Colby's contact name and looked back at my notifications.

Wren💛: where the fuck did you stay last night?

Wren💛: You're a fucking whore you know that right?

Wren💛: baby, please. Answer me, its almost five, im so worried about you. Pick up the phone.

Wren💛: I cant sleep without you.

Wren💛: Come home, please. I miss you🧡

Wren💛: im sorry for what I did, ill never do it again, at least give me a chance to explain baby. Please.

me: cassie, are you awake? Its almost ten. jeez you must have been super drunk to type that way ahahaha

me: okay im calling you.

I pulled my phone to my ear as the phone rung, two rings..she must be sleeping hard.
"hello..?" Cassie's morning voice told me I had woken her up, "Hey, it's me, its ten. You should go home.." I chuckled, "Oh..fuck my head hurts..im leaving now thank you babe..did wren get mad that you came back..?" She began to whisper,
"No..can I come over when you're home?" I asked, "Mhm, gotta go, i'll text you when im home. Love you." She hung up. Just then the cab stopped at my apartment block, I handed the man some money and took a deep breathe as I stepped out, looking at the tall building, I wished i hadn't come back here, but I had to face this..didn't i?

My phone chimed as I stepped inside my front door, looking around the apartment, it looked normal, I took another deep breath as I made my way to my room, hoping maybe Wren left, but he was there sound asleep, one of my hoodies curled up to his chest, I moved my foot and the floorboard creaked, my eyes immediately met Wren's and he jumped up.
"Oh my fucking god Iris, where the fuck were you?!" He shouted as he stood very close to my face.
"I went back out. I didn't want to be here." I mumbled, "You couldn't have at least texted me. You're so fucking selfish, all you ever care about is yourself." He shouted louder, I stepped back,
"Seriously..? You cheat on me and that's what you have to say to me? That i'm selfish? Cause I took time away from you." Wren sighed, reaching for my hands, "baby im so sorry..can you lay with me? Can we just pretend this didn't happen for an hour tops." He gave me sad eyes and I pulled my hands away from his, shaking my head, just then my phone chimed again, wren's eyes met my purse and he ripped it off my shoulder, almost making me fall, "Ow!" I shouted, my hand touching the place where it hurt, Wren's eyes widened as he looked at my phone. "Who the fuck is Colby?!" He shot his eyes back up at me, I shrugged, "Just this guy I fucked yesterday." Wren laughed, throwing my phone on the bed, I couldn't help but feel disgusted that something of mine touched the bed where he fucked another woman. "How's it feel?" I spat, he shrugged, "I guess we're even now aren't we?"
I chuckled in astonishment, "Even?"
"Exactly, come on Iris..you know you won't be in love with this Colby guy, so what? we both had some casual sex, we can just act like it didn't happen, we just needed to try something new, you know you wont get better than me..just think about it.."
"Yeah, sure I will." I ripped my purse from his hands, and picked my phone up from off the bed, "I'll call you sometime later.."
"You better not tell the press any of this Iris. I swear, your name and this Colby dude will be dragged out with me. Keep your mouth shut." Wren warned me as he pulled onto my wrist, hurting me, I nodded, hoping he would let go, instead in leaned in, pressing a quick kiss on my lips,
"Call me when you realize im all that you have." I wiped my mouth in disgust as he let go of me, and I rushed out of my apartment, hoping Cassie would text me soon. I had no where else to go.
