Chapter six
colby's pov

"Here put this on.." I threw a t shirt at Iris as we all stood by the car, I was rummaging through the trunk, finding an xplr shirt for her. She held it up to her chest, "Merch?" Sam nodded, "You're going to be our model." She smiled, "great." She got back into the car and begun changing shirts. Sam and I leaned against the car away from her. "So did you two..?" He mumbled, I shrugged, "Yeah. She's cute isn't she?" Kat shot me her eyes and I grinned, "She is."
"It's weird that she dated Wren though.." Sam added, "Yeah didn't he like-"
"How do I look?" Iris's voice interrupted me and we all glanced at her, I smiled softly, "It looks great."
she smiled softly and I grabbed the camera, setting it up to begin filming. Sam leaned towards me, whispering into my ear, "Wasn't there rumours of him cheating on his girlfriend a few months ago?" I nodded, looking at him for a moment, I glanced at the girl with brown hair, her and Kat discussing together. I felt myself sigh as I thought more about her, turning my gaze back down to the camera now.

"Hey guys! Welcome back to Sam and Colby, today we're here with Kat and our new friend Iris." Sam began the intro of the video, I smiled waving to the camera, Iris standing by my side.
"Today we're heading into an abandoned asylum! It shut down in 1987 because they were mistreating their patients and trying weird experiments on those who didn't have family's..it's truly a messed up story." I explained to the camera, I shot my gaze to the girl beside me, "And this will be Iris's first exploration right?" Sam asked, she turned to him, shaking her head, "With you guys yes. But I was told i'm with the best." She turned to me, a grin laid on her face, I couldn't help but return it.
"Alright let's start walking." Sam made his way to the camera, "More like sprinting so no one sees us." I chuckled.

Once we got to the asylum we found a broken window, "Colby head in first, I'll give Kat and Iris a boost and you can help pull them up." Sam suggested, I nodded, pulling off my sweater as I placed it in the window, making sure we couldn't cut ourselves on any broken glass, I pulled myself up and fell into the building, I looked down and reached my hand out to Kat who Sam boosted up, I pulled her into the window and then looked back outside to pull Iris in, and then Sam.

We turned on our flash lights as we began walking down the narrow hallway, Iris was a few steps in front of all of us, allowing her curiosity to take over her, I was impressed that she wasn't scared at all. Sam and I recorded the graffiti walls and spoke more about the history of the building.
"Oh my god guys, come see this!" Iris's voice caught our attention, leading us into another room, as I stepped into the room I looked at Iris who touched a sticker on the wall, "Isn't this your merch?" She shot us a smile, "Wow looks like some of you already beat us to it!" Sam chuckled into the camera, suddenly we heard a loud crash, my eyes widened and I turned to Iris, her eyes met mine and she did not seem affected at all, "My offer still stands." I whispered to her as I looked down at my open palm,
"Have you never heard of squatters Colby? You're supposed to be the pro here." she rolled her eyes with a grin, stepping out of the room before the three of us. I grinned to myself as I followed her, where did this girl come from? And why did she ever date a loser like Wren?

After a few hours of exploring and heading back to the trap house, I parked in the lot, allowing Sam and kat to get out of the car, "Bye gorgeous! I hope we see each other again soon!" Kat said bye to Iris,
"Bye Kat!"
I turned to Iris with a grin on my face, "Do you like tender greens?" She nodded, "I really do.."
"Great, that's where we're going then.." I began driving to my favourite restaurant.

"So..tell me more about yourself..How did you and Sam become so..popular?" Iris asked me as we began eating our food, I shrugged, "We started on vine, people loved our short videos, once that was over we began making youtube videos, when we were kids we loved exploring this old factory in Kansas, so we decided people might like videos like that..and now here we are, doing it for a living.."
"That is amazing. Doing what you love.."
"It is..how about you though..how'd you end up in L.A?"
"Long story short, I wanted to expand my work, many people are youtubers here..I had to follow the crowd, I wasn't only interested in editing ads and stuff...I'd be lucky to one day edit a movie..we'll see." She took a bite of her food and I smiled to myself, she was cute, a really pretty girl, she had short dark hair and really beautiful brown eyes, I felt like she had so much mystery to her..it intrigued me.
"It's not my place to be asking about this..but I am curious..how did you meet Wren?" I let my curiosity get the best of me, I couldn't say I was interested in dating Iris, I wasn't the type, so I wasn't asking out of jealousy, Wren just wasn't the type of guy you see a girl like her being with..
"We met through the company I used to work for, he was my first client in L.A. It was exciting to meet him, he was so popular, I guess you could say I hadn't done my research on him.." She looked down at her food sadly, "But now you met me. I guess the lucks only hitting you now right.." I changed the topic for her sake, she looked up at me with a grin rolling her eyes, "Yeah, exactly."
"I think we'll be great friends.." I grinned at her, she nodded, "Maybe. We'll see."
