Chapter seven

"So..did you want to come over again..?" Colby asked me as we got into his car, I placed my seatbelt on and shrugged, "Would you like me to?"
My phone then began to ring very loudly, interrupting our conversation, I picked it up and rolled my eyes, ignoring the call, my phone chimed with a text immediately after.

Wren: hasn't this been enough time to think? I hope you're not out there being a whore again. Make up your fucking mind.

I sensed Colby staring at me, I was being rude, I turned my phone off completely without answering Wren. I couldn't decide, he was my life for the past three years..could I really just give up like this? Just act like it never happened. "You okay?" Colby mumbled and my eyes met his, I nodded, a fake smile appeared on my face, "Fine. So, your place?"
He nodded, starting his car.
"The roommates should be out partying again."

Colby and I walked into the quiet mansion,
"Anybody here?" He shouted out as I shut the front door, no one responded and he turned to me with a small smile, "The house is ours.." He spread his arms out, I smiled to myself, "Do you like swimming?" He suddenly asked me and I nodded, "Do you have a pool?" He nodded his head yes and I sighed,
"I don't have a bathing suit though.."
He rolled his eyes, "I have clothes. Come on. Let's get you suited up.." He began rushing upstairs and I followed him.

Colby rummaged through his closet and he pulled out of pair of his boxers, and a t shirt, "For you." He then grabbed a pair of shorts for himself.
"Ill go change then.." He made his way out of the bedroom, closing the door behind him. I sat myself on his bed and began changing slowly, my phone rang again and I glanced at it as I finished putting on Colby's t shirt.

wren: can you call me please. Thanks.

I rolled my eyes as I heard a soft knock on the door, I got up and opened it slowly, "I'm ready." I mumbled, Colby grinned as he looked me up and down,
"You look cute." He threw the towels he held over his shoulder and I held back a grin myself. He was very handsome.

We made our way outside to the pool, fairy lights lit up the backyard nicely..he really was living the dream here..Wren and I's place was nice..it had a jacuzzi on the balcony, but..Colby's home felt much more..comfortable and lively. I couldn't put my finger on it exactly. Colby took of his shirt as I watched him from the corner of my eye, I felt myself smirk at him, he was a very attractive guy. He then dived straight into the pool, I made my way to the pool, seating myself at the edge, my feet dipped in, it was cold. "Not a dive in kind of girl?" He asked as he pushed his wet hair back. I looked over at him and shook my head, "i'd rather watch you swim."
His blue eyes made me feel weak, it was intimidating to look at him, he made me feel nervous. You could say I didn't have as much confidence as the first night we met, that night all I wanted to do was get Wren out of my head..I still want that, but now it's different with Colby, we weren't just two strangers hooking up, we were acquaintances.
"Don't be like that.." Colby shook his head, swimming over to me, he reached for my waist and lifted me as if it were nothing, pulling me into his arms and into the water. I laughed as he let go of me, my head hitting the cold water, I rushed back up for air, splashing water at him in annoyance. He chuckled softly, his smile catching my gaze.
"You're very pretty." I mumbled, my hand reached my mouth as I realized I spoke without thinking, Colby looked over at me and raised an eyebrow, "Pretty? I don't think a girl has called me that before." He pursed his lips and I splashed him again, "There's a first time for everything." I mocked him.

"How big can you splash doing a bomb?" I asked the blue eyed boy as we stood in the water. "Huge!" He grinned rushing out, he climbed out of the pool onto the pavement and created a distance between him and the pool. He then began running and jumped in, his arms wrapped around his legs, I faced the other way as the waves came crashing in, I looked back, now completely drenched, "Jeez, never do that again." I chuckled feeling like a wet dog.
"Hey did you want a drink?" He asked as he stepped closer to me, I shrugged, "Sure, what do you have?"
"Some white claws. Ill be back.." He made his way out of the pool and grabbed his towel, drying himself as he made his way inside.

Not too long after he made his way back outside, placing four white claws by the pool.
"Okay come up here.." Colby motioned for me to come beside him, I made my way out of the pool, his wet clothes weighing me down a bit. I walked over to him and he lowered himself, "Get on my back. Let's double team this bitch." I laughed at him, jumping onto his back and he immediately jumped into the pool, both of us crashing into the water.

After more shenanigans and some drinks Colby and I began getting more serious, just discussing random subjects and our interests. He was actually a very interesting person..it was refreshing to get to know someone like him after knowing Wren and only Wren for such a long period of time..

Colby and I moved ourselves into his room after a while, continuing to drink as we played music on his phone and we laid in his bed. I turned to him wanting to admire him as he spoke about his friendship with Sam. I felt myself smile as he spoke and he slowly turned his head to me, "what..?" He interrupted himself, I continued to stare at him in admiration, looking down at his painted black finger nails and the rings he wore..remembering the way they felt against my skin, I looked back up at Colby's blue eyes, shrugging, "nothing." I gave him a suspicious smile and he grinned too, leaning in closer to me, I felt his breath on my ear as he whispered, "We can stop talking if you'd rather." His hand moved itself to my thigh and he ran his fingers against it slowly, I bit my lip and nodded, "mhm."
