I felt odd, I didn't know how I could approach my situation, I had never been kissed. Never knew about things that everyone else around me did. I never go such attention to me. It made me embarrassed. Nervous. But I liked it in a sick way. I loved all of them. They cared for me. They brought me snacks, I could sit and watch movies like other people.
It was just the cloud hovering over me as I stood in the middle of these big guys who were supposed to treat me like their sister. But I felt like a bad girl. I liked the feeling of lips over mine.
I walked down with my bag and a hoodie in case the weather got a little cold. And saw everyone in the living room discussing something.
"Well, then. It is what it is. When sharing doesn't work it's a competition" Theo said as he stood up and suddenly they all looked at me. I was the deer caught in headlights. As I look at Theo, and immediately looked down in pure shyness.
Occasionally he would come to sleep beside me at night for the past week. I was too nervous to say anything about it. But in the dark cold nights, I loved his warmth.
"Morning" Kaden said and I smile at him but remembered how he tried to hug me and kissed my neck. I was a mess with my emotions.
"Let's get going," Rex said as he walked past me and I frown. Rex hardly talked to me. I assumed he was just like that, a little bit distant from everyone. I felt myself shiver as I was grabbed from behind as a kiss planted on my neck.
"See you in the evening baby," Alex said leaving me alone with Theo in the hall as everyone walked out.
I could feel his stare on me as I played with my hoodie.
"See you later" I smile and was about to look at him when I was roughly pulled against his chest with his hands over my jaw. I whimper softly as he kissed the end of my lips.
"Refrain from making such sounds near me. I might do something you aren't ready for"
I was felt with my blood rushing to my face and my legs almost went numb.
"Hey, Get in" Rex yelled and I nodded running towards the car.
I walked into the class early like some people. But Kaden always showed up late. I sat at my usual seat when he walked in. Kaden was a popular guy, his friends always saved his seat at the very back of the class. His girlfriend, or not. Always sat with him. I always saw her with him.
I didn't have any business with him and his friends. So I waited for the teacher and doodled on my notebook.
"Rose, Come at the with me" I swear I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I gulped looking at him and at his friends. "I am okay here" He sighs. "But I want you sitting near me" I bite my lip as I was already nervous with the attention I was getting from everyone.
"Hey what are you doing-" I soft asked trying to grab my book from his hands as they were suddenly lifted from my desk. He smiled. But it was the evil type. "Get your ass up Rosie" I knew I couldn't fight back.
My body stood up with a frown on my face as I walked to the very back of the now crowded class with the bag.
"Hey there," A guy said as Kaden sat between me and him. "He is my buddy, Coby. And that's Seth" He pointed at the guy right in front of us and he turned around giving us a wave. I smiled back at them. "She is family," Kaden said as his friends nodded. "Sister?" Kadens sook his head.
"Not really, She isn't a true sister" There were no further questions asked. I felt a little bad because he didn't consider me as his sister. He was the first-ever guy to talk with me and be nice. But I guess calling him my brother wouldn't be appropriate.
I was walking to my class when I saw Kaden's friends at the locker. They waved at me and I smiled. But I didn't expect them to walk towards me and start talking.
"Hey, I heard you live with Kaden?" I couldn't really answer that fast. "So, Like. Are you his step-sister or girlfriend? You guys hooking up?" I gulp stepping back only a little to explain things to him when suddenly a hand wrapped around my neck. I gasp as I was pulled against a chest with my neck.
"Let's get one thing straight. She isn't someone you can mess with. She belongs with us now, so hands-off. Or I won't hesitate to cut them off" I instantly turn to look at Rex.
"Oh-Hey, Rex. Ya, cool. We'll get going" Their sudden change in expression confused me as they scrambled to get away from us.
"Rex" I called his name as he stared at them watching them leave our sight.
"Give me your phone" I frown handing him my phone and he typed his number in it.
"I want you to call me if you get in trouble like that again," he said turning around and walking. I blink once and grabbed his hand.
"Hey-I-um. Thanks. Rex. That was very nice of you" He smirked. For the first time. His big cheeks lifting up. "Don't think of it as a help. You belong to us now. So keep that in mind" I stare at him as he walked into his class while I stood there with my mind repeating that thing he just said.
That day, I saw Rex sitting on the stairs at the back of the building. I didn't like seeing him alone. I texted Kaden I wanted to eat with Rex and walked towards him with the lunch I packed for myself. I remember Kaden telling me that Rex doesn't eat lunch normally. At least in college. He was sitting with one leg on the stair and another one below it, his hands on either side and he looked up.
"Rex?" He snapped his head at me.
"What are you doing?" I slowly walked towards him with my bag and the orange juice I bought.
"You aren't hungry? I brought you some juice" I said now standing right in front of him as he looked up at me and then at my hand. "Why are you giving me this?" He asked.
"Well, because. You were alone and -" I heard his scofft.
I felt uneasy. So I kept the orange juice near his hand and turn around to leave when he grabbed my hand. "I don't wanna look like a bad guy now. So sit" I chuckled sitting next to him and handing him my sandwich.
"You eat, You must be hungry" I shook my head. "I have another one" He stared at the sandwich and finally grabbed it taking a big bite.
"Rex, Why don't you sit with, your friends?" I had seen Rex. He didn't seem like the friend's type of guy. And Kaden always sat with his friends. Maybe because they were so different they didn't sit with each other?
"Cause I don't have any" He bluntly stated and I look at him.
"Oh," I answer. After a few minutes, I look at him. "So, Can I be your friend now?" I asked causing him to laugh.
"Either you acting l innocent or you really don't know what coming" I bite my lip, "What is?" I asked.
He looked straight into my eyes, His lips moving slightly into a very small smirk.
"I'll let you be my friend Primrose" I sigh and smile wide. "Thanks!" He rolled his eyes.
