Chapter Fifteen

I walked over to the couch with my ice cream bowl filled with cookie cream flavor, as Alex help himself after giving me his bowl. They put on a funny movie as Kaden and Rex were done playing games. Theo had made himself comfortable at the chair beside the couch. 

"Hey there," I smiled walking from between the table and couch when Kaden pulled me on his lap gently. 

"Alex won't get to sit if we three hug the couch like that, how about you sit on my lap instead?" I nodded taking a spoonful and tasting the ice cream. 

"How about you let her sit wherever the fuck she wants and not hold her like a teddy bear" Rex snapped earning a glare from Kaden. I had learned whenever these two starts yelling at each other it just ends up bad. 

Pressing my hand on Kaden's shoulder and adjusting myself to sit comfortably. 

"Rex-Its okay. I don't mind. " He rolled his eyes snapping them at the TV as Kaden grinned. 

"Stop yelling at each other like dogs" Alex muttered sitting beside Rex. It made me giggle as Kaden hummed teasing me. "Oh, you find that funny?" He whispered and I nodded. 

Kaden always pulled me on his lap when we sat together. I was used to it. In fact, it was comfy. I liked it. 

We got back home with tons of stuff for food and some flowers for decor at six. It was already eight when we finished dinner so we decided to have some ice cream together. Tomorrow was Sunday, I had to finish some assignments before Monday. It was quiet as we sat together, Them bringing up normal news and talking over it when the doorbell rang. 

I was about to get from Kaden's lap but he pulled me back staring at Alex as he got up. 

 "What are you doing here?" We all heard from the front hall. 

"We were around so we thought a visit would be perfect" I stood up, startled at the voice. My fingers fidgeting with each other as Kaden stood up walking towards the door. 

I stare at the wall for felt like hours as I heard their fuzzing at the door. I gulp, a sudden warm hand grabbing mine and I look down. 

"What's got you in a frown?" Rex asked, his hand still in mine. I softly shook my head assuring him there was nothing to worry about but his expression seemed like he didn't buy it. His eyes fell down on my legs as he stood up. Patting my head and whispering in my ear. 

"Why don't you do wear some long pants?" I nodded biting my lip and walking up the stairs. Running more like. I was in a Kaden's large t-shirt, with shorts and socks on. I just pulled out some sweatpants sliding the shorts off and pulling them up. 

I really did not wanna see him. But I heard Emma and I knew she would wanna see me. 

I look down the stairs as I heard them talking, her voice making me slightly happy but sad more the less. I bite my lip walking down the stairs. Rex was staring at them as they talked to Theo, his eyes suddenly noticed me. There was something in them that relaxed my body as I bite down my inner cheek walking at the mid staircase as Rex walked to me. 

"Hey, You don't look like you wanna see them. You can go sleep, I'll tell her-" I shook my head smiling at him. As his hand stubtly grabbed mine. It wasn't soft, I felt his hard skin under me But it was warm, very warm. 

"I wanna meet Emma" He nodded, his frown still hovering over my head. He didn't let my hand go, as he walked, helping me down the stairs. 

"Primrose! Helloo!" Emma stood up walking to me as I smiled at her. "Hey, I hope you are doing fine" I said, my words mushed by her hug. "Oh yes,I am good. How's everything? I hope everyone doesn't trouble you" 

"Noo-they don't " I replied. She sighs pushing my hair away from my cheeks. 

"Primrose, If you don't like living with these boys I can get you a apartment" Before I could even speak any further, declining his offer Kaden spoke up. 

"Oh that won't be necessary. She is fine living here" But John galred at him. "How about you stop stating your opinion?" Emma frowned. "Listen John, she seems fine here. I don't think these boys-"

"I didn't ask you to speak either, I would rather keep her with us than these boys" I saw Alex finally climb down from the counter as he sat there quite the whole time. 

"Well then-" He said grabbing our attention and standing in front of me. "Do you wanna stay with us Rosie?" I gulp as John looked at me. His glared held me down but Rex's hand in me squeezed mine ever so softly. 

"Y-Yes, I would like to stay here" John grunts. "You can clearly see how manipulating they are. She can hardly speak for herself" 

"Hey, she gave her answer. Now leave the topic alone" Kaden spoke. He was pissed off big time. "What did you just say?" 

The tension in the room was uncomfortable, suffocating as I remembered how rude he was to me all those years I stayed with them. I was never so relaxed with them as I am in this house, with everyone else. 

"I think the matter involves her honest opinion. And I understand your concern but may I add that she has been here for two weeks. With no prohibitions. She could leave whenever she wishes to. And Emma had called me to check up, countless times when she herself stated that she was fine with being with us" Alex said, his tone suddenly changing. 

I bite my lip as Emma sighs. 

"I think we should leave-" she said. 

"I don't trust these boys" He whispered. 

"I think you should leave. It's gotten pretty late" Theo spoke up, His tone making it clear that he wanted them gone. Emma nodded smiling at me and hugging me once as John walked out the door with nothing more to say. 

We heard the door shut as I stare at the hall and then look at them. My heart suddenly jumping at the shift in air. They all just looked angry, It was scary, Althought I knew they would never hurt me. The silence was just nerve-wreaking. 

"What's his deal?" Rex broke the silence walking past me and grabbing a glass of water. 

"Just a asshole. Like always, right Baby!?" Alex said, his smile coming back as he pats my head. His bubbly side took over pretty quick, but I could see there was some amount of anger lingering in his head.

"Now, you should go sleep. I think we should go out for a coffee tomorrow" Alex said pushing me to go upstairs as I giggle at the soft tickles he gave me. 

"Alex-" I called as he stopped, me standing over the second stair and him on the ground. "Yes baby?" He asked. "Goodnight" I stopped myself from asking ay questions and greeted a night instead. 

"Goodnight" His lips brushed over mine softly, as his hand rested over my head, his other brushing past my cheeks. Somewhat assuring me that I would sleep good and harm-free.
