Mias' Pov
I fall down after getting down the guy who shot me. I hear Natasha shout my name but my brain won't let me respond. I can see the blood oozing out of me. You would think I'd be scared but I'm not, I'm not upset or angry, no emotion or feeling whatsoever all i feel is the sharp sting of pain burning through my body but I feel empty and like I don't care.
Nat runs to my side and my body just feels dead I can't move it. I think she shouts for help because before I knew it Steve picks me up bridal style and runs inside.
As we lay inside my head in on Steve's lap and he has his hand on my wound holding it down with a towel while his other hand rubs my head. Nat sits on the chair across with her arm rested on her lap and her head in her hand while her other head rings someone I'm guessing is stark.
"S-st-eve" I groan. "It's going to be okay keep your eyes open" he tries to comfort me. I know I'm dying I can't feel anything anymore not even pain. "Th-the pain is gone" i faintly say. "Don't you dare die you hear me talk to me" I can hear him say but it gets more and more faint until I hear nothing at all.
It's been awhile I think a few hours maybe I'm not sure my eyes won't open my body won't move. You know I think this is what sleep paralysis feels like my body can't move no matter how hard I try yet my brain works I can hear as well.
"How is she" I hear a voice say, is that stark?? Wait is this a dream? "She's in a coma they managed to save her but until she can breathe and her organs can work on their own she'll be stuck in a coma they said she can hear so keep talking to her it might trigger her since her brain is working " I hear Natasha say.
Oh my god I'm in a coma! What if I signal my brain to my hands and try to spark something. It's like my body isn't even attached nothing works. "Hey kid it's Tony you gotta wake up for us we need you" awww dads gone soft one second buddy I'll just wake up- oh wait I can't if I knew how you think I'd be awake by now? "Yeah someone's gotta be the pretty one while we fight because Wanda and Romanoff don't do the whole girly nail hair and makeup thing" is that SAM. You pest how I wanna laugh so bad.
I try to force a smile on my face but I can't it's no use and the worst part they don't even know I'm awake in my head. If only they could read minds. "We miss you" I hear Wanda sobbing. Aww wands don't cry I'm fine. I'm being fed through a tube, I have my own toilet bag and whatever they did that makes me go and they wash me. Life's good I'm living like a princess everything done for me I don't even have to work my own organs.
Wait what if I try to breathe on my own? I'm going to try it.
Natasha POV
Even though she's in an extremely deep sleep she can hear and understand us so the gang and I are just staying here awhile to keep her company.
Rogers is across the way with his face in one hand and holding Mias' hand with the other. I think he has feelings for her there has to be something going on between them. The way he looks at her, talks to her, holds onto her you would think they're a married couple. Stark and Pepper are in the corner by the end of her bed he has his arms around pepper.
Sam and Bucky behind me who's on the opposite side to Rogers, Rhodes and banner are by the door. Parker a Mj are by the window holding hands looking like the typical teenagers they are. Wanda is on the chair next to me crying while holding me who's also crying. Bucky places his hands on our backs.
Steve gets up and just walks out. So I decide to get up and follow him. "Stay here guys I'll be back" I say to everyone else. I go look for Steve and find him in the waiting area facepalmed. "Hey, you okay?" I croak while sitting down next to him. My voice is croaky from just constant crying. "Yeah I'm fine I just need her to be okay, we all do. She's our family" he mutters. "She'll be fine. She's a romanoff so she's a natural survivor" I reassured him. He stays silent.
"Rogers what's going on with you and Mia anyway" I need to ask it's annoying me now. "What do you mean? We're just friends" he looks sort of confused. "No that's not just friends, for you anyways it's no- wait you totally have feelings for her, you love her" I gasp. "N-no I don't what- I- No Nat I don't have feelings for her and of course I love her who doesn't" he stutters his way through the entire sentence. "Yes you do I totally see it because it's so obvious and you know I don't mean love her in a friendly way" I grin ear to ear.
"Whatever I can't stand looking at her like that so I'm going home" he gets up. I get up too. "You think it's easy for me? She's the only one left in my blood besides me and just my luck something happens to her too so you know what Steve leave because I'll be here with her no matter what because she's all I've got left of my sister" I completely snap. "Oh stop Natasha that's all you've been saying is that she's your only family left, we were your family before you knew her that's what you told us, you didn't even know she existed and tried to kill her the minute she arrived because you didn't even believe her now all of a sudden you can't lose her" He snapped back. I stand there in shock. I think he just regretted what he said because he looks at me with guilt and just walks out.
