"Rain I'm bored," Stella dropped out, it wasn't the first time Stella had said it today either, after fours days now of doing nothing but training in their spare time, Stella had gotten more and more bored.

"Stella I've been over this as long as there's a war on, we need to keep ourselves ready, who knows when we'll next be in battle," Rain counted.

"It's been four days, can't we do something else, if only for a bit," Stella asked, Rain took a moment away from the punching bag to go and sit next to her.

"Stella, I need this, I need to be ready," Rain said, Stella learned on him.

"We will be ready, taking a break to do something else won't get us killed, why don't we eat out, why don't we just..." Rain stopped her.

"Stella you know I can't, not yet I'm.." it was Stella turn to interrupt him.

"you have never seen ready since we got back all you've done is train, I just want to spend time with you but no," Stella pushed off him and stood up.

"Stella please," Rain said.

"No Rain I...I need some time," Stella said, she raced towards the door, Rain went to reach out to her but pulled his arm back, as she reached the door, she didn't need to open it, Charlie pulled the door open, only bearly avoid being hit by her, he only got a second look at Stella, noticing that she was crying, he didn't even have a chance to ask her what was happening before she darted down the hull, he looked into the room and saw Rain sat on a bench, Was he crying too? Charlie took a tense step into the room.

"I see something happened, do you want to talk about it?" Charlie asked, Rain looked at him, whipping tears away from his face, He gestured to the now-empty seat next to him, Charlie sat next to him, a pitty smile on his face, "what happened then?" Charlie asked.

"Stella wants something from me, something that I...I can't give her, not yet," Rain explained.

"Ahh, I see," Charlie said unconvincingly.

"You don't see it all do you?" Rain asked, charlie shook his head.

"not at all," He answered.

"she wants us to be romantic, and so do I, but I'm not ready, Not now not after Abigail," Rain was very much at the edge of tears once again.

"Abigail?" Charlie questioned, Rain spent the next ten minutes explaining everything he went through since the fall of Glacierford, up to his fight against Abigail in the nether.

"I'm so sorry, the fact anyone had to go through that," Charlie said.

"but that's only the start, it seems like everyone I care about dies or get hurts," Rain said.

"what do you mean?" Charlie had hardly got his words out before Rain started.

"When I grow close to Stella on the mission to cure the Whiter Heart, I managed to deflect a knife into her, turning her in a Nether Kin, I almost lost her, I did lose her. and why'll that was happening Frostbourne marched into battle, Azura was struck by lighting cast by Naeus in the battle, and Daryll, Daryll died trying to take Naeus down holding him at bay, then there's William, I like William he's fun, such a positive person to be around, and now he's in a coma, changing into Noach knows what," Rain took a deep breath, "I can't lose anyone else, I have to be ready for whatever comes next," he finished.

"but in your need to be ready to protect the ones you care about your driving them away, yes train, be ready, but don't forget to live, what's the point in winning if you don't have anyone who's willing to be there, maybe spend two or three days a week training instead of every day, or even an hour each day," Charlie put forward.
