A castle sat atop a mountain, a small city surrounded the mountain, and at the edge of the city, a man stood on a roof, in his white cloak caught in the wind, a gray long beard hanged out from his white hood "has the city been evacuated?" he asked.

"Yes Mentor, the brotherhood stands ready," this man was younger, he wore similar clothes and didn't have a visible beard.

"Go, take those who will go with you," the Mentor ordered.

"What! you expect me to run, while our home is invaded?" the young man questioned.

"I expect you to live!" the old man barked back. the younger man flinched back, "you carry the torch of our people now, my son please, I can not allow our people to die out, and take the book to Frostbourne," the Mentor said.

"But the spells in that book are forbidden there can not be used," the younger man said, the mentor sighed.

"If the Nerther destroys this kingdom then we must give humanity every chance at survival. now go," the mentor demanded with a wave of his hands.

"it will be done, father," the young man said bowing. despairing into the streets below.

Just beyond the forest that surrounds the city, hundreds of Nerther portals open, and out of one of Kyle stepped out, he took a deep breath, "ahh smell that fresh air," he said, looking to his right seeing Blackbone, "I guess not in your case you don't have lungs," Kyle joked,

"your humour is not appreciated," Blackbone said. this the skeleton could roll his eye he would of.

"You're so fun to be around," Kyle said, Kyle looked around at the army as their being to charge towards the forest, "so the defenders of the truth, what your plan there?" Kyle asked.

"Naeus wants the book of forbidden spells. it would be able to wipe out of every enemy we face, the defenders hold the last copy of it," Blackbone explained.

"that sounds, easy" Kyle smiled as he spoke, Blackbone turned to a group of blazes.

"Burn their forest down," Blackbone ordered, the blazes flow towards the woods. Kyle walked slowly towards through the forest as the fire starts. the forest was tightly packed and deep. Kyle grow bored walking through the woods. "bored," he kept repeating to himself until they reached the edge of the forest seeing the city with the castle on the mountain. "Wow," Kyle exclaimed.

"The defenders of the truth are isolationists, no one from the outside they forest have come back alive," Blackbone explained,

"And yet we decide to invade?" Kyle questioned,

"the might of the Nerther is invincible," Blackbone said, the city was dead nothing was moving, the army waited for their order to attack. finally, something did move, an old man wearing a white cloak, a long grey beard hung out of his hood, he had a belt with a steel sword hanging off it, and a bandolier with a handful of throwing knives on it, it reminded Kyle of a character from assassin's creed. he kept walking and so Blackbone went forward to meet him, "are you in charge here?" Blackbone asked.

"Yes I am the mentor of those people, and you are general Blackbone, I know you seek revenge against Ser Patrick for killing your brother on the final day of the undead war, but there is more to that than you know," the mentor said, had Kyle not known better he would have said that Blackbone was shocked.

"How could you know that?" Blackbone asked.

"My spies report from across the Nerther and Overworld. I know more than your limited intelligence could imagine," the mentor said. his vice not once changing.

"Then you know why we are here? give us what we seek and we might let you go," Blackbone said, the mentor laughed.

"Clearly you know nothing of us,"
