I feel myself being lifted.
What the hell just happened?
'I tore those hunters apart. One stabbed me while I was focused on the other two hunters in your chest almost getting to your heart. Rest now. You need to heal.' My wolf explains.
That last thing I thought about before I let unconsciousness slip in was Elijah.

*Two weeks later*
Elijahs Pov.
It's been hell these past two weeks. I haven't left my mates side since it all happened.
I smell like death.
"Please come back to me." I say, gripping his hand.
"Mmmm.." I hear Tyler mumble.
I stare at my mate.
"Hes waking up!" I yell.
The nurses come bursting in while Tyler starts to open his eyes. They start checking his wounds and gasp to find them completely healed.
"It should have taken longer than this.." I heard a nurse say in awe.
Yup. My mates amazing.
"I'm fine. Leave now." He commands.
His voice. Oh how I missed that voice.
I start walking out like everyone else when he grabs my arm pulling me back.
"Not you."
My wolf jumps with excitement.
"What happened?" He asks, now sitting up.
I cringe at the memory. "You were running towards the hunters and they started to charge at you. You were too fast though. You tore them apart in seconds. One managed to stab you in the chest, almost peircing your heart. Tyler. I was so scared. I thought I lost you..." I say, already crying. Again.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm right here. You'll never lose me." He says while pulling me to him in a close embrace.
"I thought I almost lost you too. I saw them shoot you." I can feel him flinch when he said that.
"They did but missed. Only one bullet hit me on my side. It's healed." I explain.
"Oh thank the moon goddess!" He yells.
I chuckle in response while he hugs me tighter. The next thing I know, he sniffs me.
Damn it.
"Umm, babe?"
"Yeah?" I say. Embarrassed out of my mind for what's about to come.
"You stink like death." He says, laughing his ass off at my tomato red face.
"Uh-um, sorry.." I say pulling away.
Could this get any more embarrassing?
"Dont be shy. I smell like death too." He chuckles out.
"Go take a shower." He commands.
I stand there a second to long.
"Unless you want me to join in with you?" He says smirking.
I turn beat read again. "Um, no I'm good I'm just gonna go." I say as I run towards the bathroom.
Yep, more embarrassment.
"Wait! Come here." He says as he pulls me in and kisses me passionately.
My wolf purrs in ecstasy.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you." He whispers into my ear and pushes me inside the bathroom.
I sigh. All that's forgotten. "It's alright." I laugh as I turn on the water.
We have our mate.
