Tylers Pov.
The days passed by in a blur. Me and my mate haven’t been able to be with each other as much as I had hoped because of very recent rouge attacks happening to our and many other packs. I haven’t gotten much sleep either.
Mate
My wolf is always in a bad mood because he’s not in close connection with his mate.
‘Alex. Call Elijah into my office now, please.”
“You got it bud.”
I chuckle. I need some alone time with my mate.
A few minutes pass and then I hear the door click open.
I look up to see my mate concerned.
“Is something wrong?”
“Yes, very wrong.” I reply.
He looks at me with a full on worried expression.
I almost laugh.
“What’s happened?”
“Well, you see, I haven’t been with you in too long, and to be quite honest, I missed your presence. I missed those sweet eyes.”
I slowly get up and walk towards my mate. He gulps.
I look down at his neck.
I’m inches away from him when I say, “especially those sweet lips.” Then kiss him hard.
A knock interrupts us. I groan out loud.
“Tyler, you in there man?”
It’s Alex.
“Yeah, come in.”
He comes in. “We just caught a rouge. We need you in the dungeon.”
I’m instantly alerted. “Alright, I’ll be there right after I take Elijah to his room.”
“I can do that for you alpha. Isn’t he a rouge too? Should I place him in the dungeon as well?”
“NO!” I growl out.
Shit.
“I mean, that isn’t necessary. Now go, I’ll be there soon.”
He looks at me astonished then leaves.
I turn around and see my mate looking at me with what looks like pride.
“Come, let me take you to your room.”
We start walking and way too soon for my liking, we make it to his room.
“Tyler, thank you.”
“For what?” I ask confused.
“For sticking up for me.”
I smile. “Of course love. I will never let anyone hurt you.”
With that I kiss him goodbye and run to the dungeon.
I will keep my word. I will keep my mate safe no matter what.
