Elijah's POV:
I've been planning my trip to see me brother for a week now and today was the day. It was a full days trip to get to where i needed to find him so i put on jogging pants and a regular white tee for it. I track better on foot.
As i was packing things i would need in a small bag, Tyler came in. He touched my arm and a familiar feeling of tingles shot through me. My wolf whined in contempt. Tyler slowly wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. I leaned back unable to resist and let him do as he pleased, thoughts of my brother and my mission long gone.
"What are you getting ready for beautiful?" He whispered into my ear. My only response was a groan as he nipped my ears playfully. Just as soon as I let my guard down, it came crashing back as I was barely able to hear the clanging of metal and looked down to see handcuffs. I pushed myself away from Tyler and gasped in shock.
"You were gonna handcuff me? Why?"
"I know you're planning on trying to stop your brother. I'm your mate. I've been watching you closely."
I mentally cursed myself for not being careful enough. I looked up to meet his eyes and saw how torn he was. But this was my brother. I needed to be the one to stop him.
"Im going. Whether you like it or not." i stiffly nodded at him and was on my way to open the door when in the blink of an eye tyler had me pinned against the door and had my hands behind my back.
"I'm so sorry Eli. I can't risk you getting hurt again..These handcuffs are encrypted with symbols, you won't be able to get out of them.." Tyler kept on mumbling his apologies as he handcuffed me and dragged me to my bed. He gave me one last look of regret then walked out, calling out to his pack members to leave for their journey in finding my brother.
I stared at the wall and was mentally preparing myself for what I was about to do. I closed my eyes in deep concentration and whispered, "Naturae vis lunam dimittam vobis dimittere dimittere dimittere.."
I opened my eyes to see in the mirror them glowing red and gold. I felt the release of the metal and as soon as i got the handcuffs off of me i raced to the window and jumped.
I raced to into the woods and took a detour of the path i was originally set on going in order to avoid the pack catching on that I had escaped. I ran miles and miles till i finally saw the silhouettes of Tyler's pack. I stopped and ducked down to a large rock nearby. I prayed to the moon goddess Tyler wouldn't catch my smell. I waited till they were far enough until i could move. I started climbing the trees and jumped from branch to nearby branch trying to get passed the pack. I kept this going until i was far enough away from them to run on foot.
I ran the rest of the way to what i assumed was my brothers camp site that i had found a while back. I stealthily creeped my way forward until i was in reaching distance of him. They were all fast asleep. Bad move when they are being hunted. I mind linked my brother to wake up and he did.
He smiled. "Took you long enough."
I only glared in return. "I thought you were dead. What are you doing back and how could you leave me?" He turned away sadly and sighed.
"I made a deal with the hunters Eli. I were to live if i returned you to them. They know about your abilities little brother and they intend on getting you no matter what."
I couldn't believe what i was hearing. How could they have known?
"Leave. Never come back. Ill deal with the hunters and you know i can. Tyler's pack is a few hundred yards away so i suggest you move fast."
He didn't say another word as he woke the rest of his buddies up and sprinted away.
How was i to tell my mate that i have abilities and i may as well be the cause for his packs death?
I was walking away when i heard the crunching of leaves behind me. I stiffened and prepared myself for attack. I turned around and saw the one man who I hated. Who took my family away from me. Who was the spawn of Satan himself. I growled menacingly as he inched closer to me.
"Elijah is it? Very nice to meet you this soon.." he smiled wickedly at me.
"Hello Alan."
