Tyler's P.O.V
It has been almost two weeks and my pack has been training ruthlessly. Everyday we had to train. To prepare for the war that was bound to happen. The war that will decide our fate. All my thoughts and worries went to Elijah. What would happen to us?
I forced myself to push those thoughts away and start getting ready. Me and Elijah were going on a date. Just thinking about that man made me shiver. I smiled to myself. Tonight is going to be great, I can feel it. I looked at myself in the mirror and nodded at my appearance.
I was wearing dark jeans and a black button-up shirt. I had on my black dress shoes and my hair styled back. Soon as I was ready, I headed my way towards Elijah's room.
As I was about to knock, the door flung open and I was met with a breathless sight. He was wearing a maroon button down shirt that hugged his toned body perfectly with some dark washed jeans.
"Beautiful" I breathed out.
Elijah turned away and I can see he was blushing. I chucked and grabbed his hand.
"Where are we gonna go?"
I opened the door for him and gave him a peck on the lips. "It's a surprise"
He groans in annoyance and I shiver in pleasure. If only I could make such an innocent noise come out of him while I- In a daze, I quickly rid my mind of those thoughts and gently tug Elijah's hand in mine and lead him to my car.
The ride to my planned destination was filled with peaceful silence as I feel Elijah draw small circles with his thumb on my hand. Once we get closer to the place, I make him close his eyes and pull up the gravel road.
I open the door for my mate and carefully guide him out of the car and into the trail. I press my fingers on his back pushing him to move forward while at the same time placing small kisses on his neck making him sigh softly...
"Okay my love, you can open your eyes.."
Slowly, Elijah complies and I am relieved to hear a small gasp come from his mouth and a look of pure excitement and appreciation cross his godlike face.
I had lights hung on the surrounding trees making the forest seem electric with the sun winding down to a sun set. A blanket is on the ground with a bottle of wine and food, rose petals around everything. The small river makes the scene all the more majestic. I wanted everything to be perfect for my mate.
Elijah stares on as he takes all of the beautiful scenery in. Taking me by surprise, he launches himself at me.
"Tyler! This is so beautiful! Its perfect!" He lets go of his tight hold briefly only to press his lips against mine. The kiss which was first slow and passionate, turned rough and desperate. I reluctantly pulled away breathless and touched my forehead with his.
"Don't tempt me to take you on this forest grown so soon wolf, I wouldn't be able to stop." I whisper in his ear seductively. I sigh and start heading towards the food and blanket and soon hear Elijah's footsteps following behind me.
I lay down and we eat in silence, savoring each others presence and also the scenery in front of us. I turn to ask Elijah something but to my horror, I see a blade being thrown, heading fast towards my mate.
"ELIJAH!"
He turns to me frightened and confused and I quickly pull him down to me, blade missing by an inch. I Let out a ferocious growl and stand, bringing Elijah up with me. I push him behind me protectively and search for the invader.
"COME OUT MUTT" The stench of rouge now clear in the air.
It seems like an eternity waiting for the threat to appear, but they never do. I cautiously start walking back towards the car with Elijah tight by my side, my senses heightened with the threat still close and the sun completely gone, leaving us in the dead of night.
Once we make it to the car i quickly open the door for Elijah and run to my side, locking the doors and putting my seat belt on in a rush to get my mate back to safety in my pack.
I turn the headlights on and my head snaps up to the sound of my mates scream.
There's twenty wolves, blocking my path from leaving, all snarling, all eyes on us, with looks of only one intention.
To kill.
