The day started off as the same as usual. I it's been three weeks since my brother payed us a little ... visit. I still can't believe he's alive... The only family I have left and he wants to kill the new found people I care about. Including my mate. I vow to do whatever I can to stop him. The big question is, how?

I've been searching the woods from where they attacked and seemed to find nothing. Clever. My brother covers his tracks well. "Elijah." I hear Tyler call out to me. Instantly my worries dim a little as I turn around and see his face.

I pull him into a tight embrace and we walk hand in hand towards the stream in the woods.

"How are you feeling Eli?

"I'm okay. How's Evan?"

"Fantastic! Thanks to you..."

We get to a clearing and Tyler brings my face towards his and kisses me. It was a slow, passionate kiss. One I've been longing for. I pull away and sigh.

"I should get back to searching." Tyler looks hesitant like he wants to say something but then slowly nods.

I wait and hear to make sure he's gone completely inside before I run about three miles west where I found a clue to where my brother had gone.

Blood. Most likely from one of his men. I smile. I'm a very good tracker. I head in the direction the blood was going and find more drops of it leading in all sorts of directions.

I stop and kneel down to the floor. I let my senses take over and stay still. I smell more blood. I hear the insects buzzing around it. I run in the directions my senses are telling me to go.

I see a light coming from afar. Fire? If I weren't as focused as I am now, I would've missed it. I smile again.

I found you brother, and I'll make sure you don't lay a hand on my mate or his pack.

I start to climb the tree to get a better view. AS i ascend i start to see the silhouettes of men. I look and see that it was indeed a fire. I jump down and race towards the light. Race towards the direction of my own blood. I stop dead in my heels.

"Don't be stupid Elijah. You're way outnumbered and running in blind will only result in your death. Be smart."

I head the way to the pack house and try to devise just how the hell i'm gonna get to my brother without getting killed.

But i will be back.

Tyler's POV (very short):

Ever since Elijah found out his brother was still alive, he's been distant. Too distracted in trying to find him. I feel our bond getting stronger but at the same time weaker.

I don't know how much of this I can take.

I go into my study and dive myself into work. I know where Elijah's brother is hiding and I will make sure he doesn't hurt my mate.
