With no explanation, We draw towards each other

"Wait!" His hand grabbed me when I was just about to leave. The place where our skin met felt so warm. Felt so pleasant.
"Do you want to grab a bite?" he asked.
He looked confused and surprised by his own question, but stayed still with his hand still on my wrist. I looked at him for a moment then gave him a nod.

Seeing me agree, he froze a bit, and then he replied with a nod. With him still holding my hand, we started to walk.

.

We were at a newly open fast food restaurant, serving tacos. It was not my most favorite food but I followed him, nevertheless. This man gave a very pleasant calming aura. Being near him made my heart tingle, a joy and happy feeling, like I want to be near him  forever.

We sat on the corner. He seemed to choose a spot away from people. Haven't been able to have lunch, I dug into the food.

"I'm Dan. Daniel," he suddenly introduced himself,
I looked at him in between my bites. "Rendy," I told him my name.
We returned silent. I usually enjoy this kind of silence, but...
"Good game by the way," I tried to start a conversation. I like his voice. I wanted to hear him talk more.
"What?"
"Your football game. It's been a while since our school got pushed around like that," I told him. I actually didn't care about the game. I just wanted to converse with him, to hear his voice more.
"Ah... Well, we still lost in the end," he said, giving a slight smile.
A beautiful, charming smile. Ugh, this is bad for my heart.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked.
Dan again froze. He looks unsure, like there's a lot of things going on in his head. "I... I just..."

It is Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow will be the first day of winter break. I'm not in a rush and I don't feel any need to rush him. "Eat first," I cut his word as I took another bite. "I don't know what you want to say. But, you should eat something to gather your courage," I smiled at him. Daniel looked surprised by my words, but he simply nodded and started to bite his food.

I look at him eating. It's not like we come to a five star restaurant nor do we eat fancy dinner. It's just a fast-food lunch! But why did he look so handsome and charming eating them?
I'm going insane. I can't ever grow tired looking at him.

Then, we start again, communicating. With a smalltalk. Where we live, where we go to school. We tried to get to know each other. Trying to find some similarities to connect us.
I found out that he's a senior. The same age as Rey and Gina. He lived with his family, and went to school near their house. He lives in a big family, like a community.  I don't know if something like that exists nearby.

Slowly, the atmosphere warms up. Even when we have so little in common, I like hearing him talk. I have fun listening to him. He made me laugh, I smiled a lot.
It feels so easy, talking to him.

"You don't watch movies?" I asked, surprised.
"Not really," Daniel answered with a chuckle.
"So how do you spend your free time?"
"We practice."
"Practice? Football?"
"Hmm, yeah. And others," he answered ambiguously.
"No wonder you have all those muscles," I said. "Boring," I mumbled. Thinking he is just a typical high school jock like my brother. "Ah! Sorry, I didn't mean in harm ways," I realised I think too loud. He just smiled upon my remarks, didn't seem to mind it.
He always smiles. He makes me smile.

"Okay, let me rephrase my question," I start again. "What excites you?"
He raised his eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"Other than building more muscle, what do you like to do?"
"I enjoy our practice. We often run through the woods, it's refreshing," he said.
"Anything else? Something that's not related to exercising or physical stuff?"
Daniel didn't immediately answer. He gives some time to really think. "I like coffee," he said. "Once, I went to the city alone. The first time I ever go anywhere alone. I stopped at a coffee shop. I didn't even like coffee at that time, but... that place feels really calming. Since then, I sometimes visit coffee shops when I have time alone."
"Are you interested in becoming a barista?"
He shook his head. "It's only a hobby, at best. I already have a path to walk," he answered vaguely again.
I gave a long sigh. "Boring," I mumbled again while taking a drink.
Daniel again only chuckled upon my remark and I smiled at him.

"So, how about you?  What do you want to do in the future?" Daniel asked.
"I'm going to the university. Haven't decided where but I want to pursue either data science or digital marketing," I told him.
Daniel looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "What's that?"
I rolled my eyes. "Come on, You should do some research on what jobs are available in this twenty-first century," I told him.
Again, he just chuckled. "Okay, I will do," he said.
I smiled back.

As the atmosphere became warmer, the silence returned. But this time, there's no awkwardness. The food is already long gone and we just sat there, staring at each other, being with each other. We enjoy our silence in this crowded place.
It's three in the evening, we've been talking for hours. Time passed by too quickly.

"Let's have a walk," Daniel invited me and stood up. I looked at him, just silently standing and waiting for me.  "Sure," once again I accepted his invitation and followed him.

.

Daniel drove me home. I went to the town by bus and he offered to bring me home. We entered my neighborhood and the car stopped in front of my house. This was the first time I wished my house was located farther away, so that I could be with him longer.

"Thanks for accompanying me today," Daniel said looking at me. I gave him a smile. "I enjoy talking with you," I replied with a smile. I should be the one who feels thankful. He accompanied me on my lonely weekend.

I unlock the seat belt and gather my belongings, ready to leave.
Once again I looked at him. His beautiful brown eyes stare back at me.

Daniel slowly leaned towards me and then he put his lips on mine.
I feel my body burst in happiness, feeling like something finally completes. We kissed just for a few seconds. A few seconds that I wish to last forever. Before, he pulled away.

I opened my eyes and met his dark brown one. An eye that looks so deep yet beautiful.
"It's late, you should head back," he said.  I only nodded. I opened the door and stepped out of the car.  "Thanks for the ride, Daniel" I uttered my thanks before closing the door and walking away. My face heated up.

--

What the heck? Why did I do that?
Why do I kiss him? I just learned his name today and I already kissed him at night?!
I plan to reject him, it's just absurd for me, a soon-to-be Alpha, to have a human mate, a man at that! I was supposed to reject him before I grew any attachment towards him.

'Daniel'
I remember how he called me. How he smiled at me. He looks very charming, very calm, and very attractive. His sparkly green eyes. His light auburn hair. His soft voice.

It's all only impulse. I only plan to learn his name. I just feel I need to know the first person who is destined for me. Rendy, Ren. What a beautiful name.
He's fun, handsome, and cute. At the sametime, he looks strong. He's calm and makes me at ease whenever I'm near him. He's not thin. He's not bulky. He's slightly taller than average, but still shorter than me. He's just right.
His voice... what a calming sound. I love the way he talks. His random talks, how assertive he listens, his view of the world.

I can't! I can't reject him. He's kind. I don't want anyone to hurt him.

Can I just silently watch over him?
Should I tell him we are mates? I don't think it's a good idea, but...

Argh! Why is this so complicated?!
Why the hell is my mate a human boy? Why am I an Alpha's son?

My eyes lay on him again as he opened his house front door. I made sure he's already safely inside. Only then, I step on the gas and drive off.

As I drove, my mind wandered back to the moment we shared together. The meal we ate. The talks and laughs. We only parted for a few minutes.

I miss you.
