Facing the Truth, A promise to make

After Gina hung up, I tried to call Ren's phone again. No one answered. I already knew the twins wouldn't answer my call.
I pushed the gas and sped up, heading towards his place.

I had contacted Jeremy and Sam, asking whether they knew anything. They were all just confused and surprised by the news. I asked them to keep quiet. I don't know who is behind this and I don't want this to attract unnecessary attention. Thus, I asked them to simply monitor the pack's members' movements.

I need more info. I am starting to regret not saving neither Rey nor Gina's contact. Who's else? Wait! Remembering something, I start to dial another number.

"Hello?" Lucas answered with a confused tone. "Is Ren with you?" I asked immediately.
There was a short silence. "No. He was still sick, wasn't he? Why?"
"He is missing"

"Wait, what? Since when?"
"I don't know. Gina called me using Ren's phones. She said Ren was not in the bed when they returned home. I tried to call again but they didn't answer. They didn't contact you?"
"No... They must have found lead and start chasing him"
I'm confused. Warlock's magic is the fastest way to locate someone. So, they should have contacted Lucas for his help. "How?"
"They are hunters. They have their own method."
"Can you contact them? Asking them their location. I'm heading there."
I heard Lucas clicking his tongue. "It's no use. They won't answer my call. If it is about Ren, they'll do everything themselves."
"..."

"I could help on tracking him," Lucas said. "I'll send an address. Meet me there." I nodded. "Thanks," I said.

"Save it for later. We need to find him first."

"How much further?" Gina asked behind the wheel. "Five kilometers. They're still moving," Rey replied as he checked his phone. Ever since Ren was kidnapped when he was child by one of their enemies, they had added further tracking measurement. The hunter association have their sets of witches and warlocks, adding with its technology department and the access to government satellites, creating that kind of device is possible.

"Who do you think they are?"
"We'll know when we get him,"
"Silver Cross?" Rey suggested
"That lunatic vampire gang? No, I made sure to leave no one alive on our last hunt," Gina replied. "Besides, even their leader is weak. If anyone remains, they shouldn't dare."
The twins have too many enemies that it's hard to pinpoint one.

Ren's phone rang again. Rey looked at it and then just put it in silence. Gina knew who had been calling non stop. "Do you think... werewolves?"

That scenario had also been in Gina's mind. They rarely hunt a werewolf. At least around this area, they were one of the most well behaved species. Always follow the rules. Even the request to hunt down rogues are rare. As long as they don't stir problems there won't be a job for that.

But... ever since Ren introduced his boyfriend...
It could be Daniel's enemy. Or even worse someone from his pack.

"I don't know," Gina can only say.
"Tch!" Rey clicks his tongue. "Why do they have to be mates?"
Rey and Gina know about one of the werewolf's unique traits, having their soulmate. Mates between species are not rare, although not often.

As soon as they knew about Daniel, they contacted the association and requested for every information about him. They know that Dan is the next Alpha in line of the Green Moss Pack. That pack was known to be peaceful and never stirred problems. They used to have territorial conflict with other local packs but never bothered normal humans. So even if they so badly wanted to eliminate him from Ren's life, they couldn't find any reason.
