With uncertainty, We pass each day

I'm meeting Ren this Saturday. He said he wanted to introduce me to his childhood friends. His best friends. I actually just want to spend the day with the two of us, but I think it's not a bad idea either. It's not like they are hunters like his siblings, right?
Besides, perhaps I can know more about his pasts. His childhood. I bet he's as cute as now.

Like usual, I drove my car to the city.
Finding an empty spot in my usual parking row, then heading to the main area. Ren told me he's arrived and now waiting with his friends outside a restaurant.
I fasten my walks, feeling excited to meet him.

When I'm closed to our meeting spot, I started to scan the area.
It's the weekend and the market is more crowded than usual. But...
His beautiful auburn hair looks so vibrant amongst the crowd. My eyes easily spot him and I immediately head to him. After a few steps closer, Ren finally noticed me then waved at me. I already miss his smiling face.

I didn't realize it at first. The two who stand behind him. A woman with his wavy black hair and a man with golden eye color. They were talking with each other, with Ren. They must be his friends.

Something's not right.

My instinct kicked in and I dash forward, snatching Ren into my embrace. I put my guard up. They just stood there, staring at me. I could feel the displeasure in their eyes. The disgust looks from the woman.

"Daniel?" Ren sounds surprised upon my sudden action.
"Don't be so warry, dog," the woman said. "At least, in front of Ren, we won't kill you."

Daniel finally calmed down after I spoke to him. Lucas has also helped me calm Bea. Now, the four of us sat in a family restaurant. I choose this crowded place to avoid any conflict. Hoping they'll behave.

"So, Daniel, once again, this is Lucas and Beatrix. They are my childhood friends," I said. "Lucas, Bea, this is Daniel, my boyfriend." I emphasized the last word.
Daniel still looked so alert, Lucas only smiled at us, while Bea looked very much annoyed.

"Ren, they are dangerous," Daniel looked at me, very concerned.
"You are even more dangerous than we are," Bea commented as she played with the fries that Lucas ordered.
"Said it to yourself, you bloodsucker," Daniel commented back. It's rare for me to see Daniel utter insults.
"Oho... Do I scare you, little puppy?" Bea mocked him.

"Sorry, Ren. Vampire and werewolf are natural enemies," Lucas whispered to me.
Daniel and Bea still continue their insults and there's no sign to stop. I sighed, then looked at Lucas who seemed to enjoy this situation. "Can you... help me calm them down?"

Lucas blinked a few times, but ended up giving me a nod. "Sure!" he smiled. With a snap of his finger, suddenly Beatrix and Daniel become silent.

No, the correct way to describe this situation is that suddenly they lost their voice. They both seem surprised when they realise they can't make a single noise. I looked at Lucas. "Relax, Ren. It's just temporary," he smiled. I don't really agree with his choice but I guess for now I could only comply.

"Okay, first of all. I hope you all can make peace with each other," I started. Then I looked at Lucas and Beatrix. "You both have been my best friends. I don't want my relationship to ruin our friendship," I said seriously, especially to Beatrix. She gave a long sighed and then nodded. "Okay, next, if possible, I hope you can befriend Daniel. You seem to have a long history because of your... race? But, I never saw you with that kind of thought. I like you all because you are you. So, can we all try to be friends?"
