Bella woke up in a room that she didn't recognize. She turned on her side to see two notes on the nightstand: Drink Me and Eat Me
There laid 2 aspirin and a familiar yellow-green drink. She left the aspirin on the table and drank the gross, but relieving concoction. Her head pounded. She got up to use the bathroom but heard the shower running. Knocking on the door, Bella heard a guttural noise that sounded like a "What"
"Oh god, Jake?" Bella asked, not able to think of anyone else who would've taken her here.
"Yeah? Good Morning, sunshine" He said, his voice deep and thick.
"Where the hell am I?"
Jake didn't respond
"Jake!" Bella yelled pulling on the locked door handle "Fine I'm leaving" She unsteadily walked back towards the bed to grab her shirt and button it up.
She heard the door unlock, and out came Jake with a towel tied around his waist, his skin glistening in the sun that shined through the window.
"I-I'm going home!" she stuttered, looking away from him as blood rushed to her cheeks.
"No you're not, you're hungover, look at you. What you're going to do is rest."
Jake walked towards her as she sat down on the bed, he swung her legs up and set her head down on the pillow lightly.
"You didn't take the aspirin," he said, taking the pills from the nightstand.
Jake held his hand out with the aspirin in one and water in the other waiting for her to take it. She squinted her eyes in disgust and took it from him.
"There, now get some rest. Help yourself to anything. I gotta go run some errands."
He threw on his shirt and some khakis. He searched around the hotel room throwing around clothes.
"What are you looking for?"
"My lucky pair of shoes... I lost them," Jake replied.
"Oh," Bella said, knowing exactly where they were... on Jenna's feet. "When did you lose them?"
"I can't remember. I just know when I was getting ready for the show last night, I couldn't find them. I messed up on stage last night... a lot too. I guess that's my first errand. I can't play the next show without them, that's for sure."
"And you came here before the show? Where even are we?"
"Sam's apartment. He could've taken them or something I don't know." Jake sat at the end of the bed, slipping on some of Sam's loafers.
"Why are we at Sam's place? Don't you have an apartment?"
"Yeah, but his place was right around the corner from the club."
An awkward silence filled the room.
"Well, I gotta go. Make sure to get some rest. I'll be back here in a few hours."
Jake got up and bent over, kissing Bella's forehead. "Feel better," he rushed out the door. Bella wondered why Jake was always rushing the morning after with her. Did he always hurry in the morning? Or just when he was with her?
Bella then thought about how sweet he was, Because, if she was being honest, he really knew nothing about her, she knew nothing about him, but she was appreciative of what he'd done for her. She wondered why he hadn't just taken her to his place...was there a reason?
Bella rolled over to grab her phone. She texted Jenna.
"Hey, can you come and get me?"
No reply.
