Bella arrived at the bistro and looked around for Jenna. Jenna stood up and waved to her. She was sitting at one of the tables outside.
"Hey. I already ordered. Got you your favorite. I'm not wasting any time here. What the hell did you and Jake do the other night!? I need details," Jenna asked.
Bella explained everything she could remember from that night to the best of her ability.
"Damn girl! You're livin' every woman's fantasy. So you don't remember anything after you did it? You just went straight from the club to waking up in Sammy's bed?"
"Yeah. But hey, now we probably got ourselves a job."
"Nothing is certain yet."
"Hey wait. Yesterday, when you were talking a mile a minute, did I hear you correctly when you said you were in a MOVIE!?" Bella asked.
"Oh, yeah that. I'd rather not get into that, I wasn't really supposed to tell you, Josh doesn't want anyone to know."
"JENNA. You have to tell me now. I promise I won't tell another soul you can trust me."
"Okay. You better not. Well all I will say is that I was at this film thing with Josh and their stunt double was sick, and of course, I have to look just like the lead so they had me fall off a balcony."
"That is so badass."
"It was scary, is what it was."
"Hey well, that's the first time I've EVER seen you step out of your comfort zone with anyone so fast," Bella exclaimed.
"Yeah, he just makes me feel like I can do anything you know."
"Someone's got a crush"
"Please, I do not. You're one to talk"
"Jake? No. We are not a thing. We are so different in so many ways. He was just a good time when I needed it."
"So where do you two stand then?"
"Um... I honestly don't know. We kinda got into a fight last night. Okay, enough talk about boys."
The girls enjoyed their lunch and went shopping in town. While they were in a boutique, Jenna was trying on some clothes and her phone went off. Bella, who had Jenna's phone, looked at the text message. Hey, this is Jenna's number, right? Bella unlocked Jenna's phone and answered:
Who is this?
It's Josh. There was a number on a napkin on my kitchen counter and I assumed it was from you.
Yes, this is Jenna. Did you need something?
I need you and your friend, Bella, to meet me and Sammy at the record label offices in an hour to talk about your possible positions on the Greta Van Fleet team. I will send the address.
"Hey, do you think these pants are too shor-... Bella, what are you doing with my phone?" Jenna asked, coming out of the dressing room. She snatched the phone out of Bella's hands and looked at the texts. Jenna lightly hit Bella on the arm. "What the fuck is wrong with you!?"
"You don't have enough time to be mad at me. We only have an hour to get ready."
"Shit. You're right," Jenna hurried back into the dressing room and changed back into her clothes.
They ran back to their cars as fast as they could, driving to Jenna's to quickly get ready.
Jenna wore a white off-the-shoulder dress shirt tucked into a high-waisted flared, a ruffled skirt with geometric nature prints, and strappy sandals with a chunky heel. Her hair was put back in a low ponytail that was professional, yet messy as strands of hair hung loosely out of the ponytail in her face, along with her bangs. She grabbed her phone and wallet before joining Bella to leave.
