I feel like this is a funny chapter, I'm proud of it and if anyone reads it... I'd love some feedback. I've read a few fanfics on Wattpad and they say to like and comment so if you wanna do it, I won't stop you ;) Okay, moving on with the chapter!
Y/n's pov
-"Fuck no. I'm not going to see him. Hell no."
Peter laughed and grabbed me, forcing me into the car.
-"Let me go Peter, this is kidnapping. Help!"
He forced me to put my seatbelt on and Happy began driving.
-"I don't want to see the man. You can't force me to. I'm a person. Nope. Fuck no."
-"That's surely not how Tony raised you. Talking like that."
-"Happy, I'm not sure..." Peter started.
-"How he what? Excuse me? But he may have raised me but he threw it all out when he let me to die in the hands of that man. And I don't remember anything from before that. So I don't give a shit who he is or if he raised me. But you don't get to tell me that's not the way he raised me." I spit.
-"You don't know..." Happy said.
Peter had to physically stop me.
-"Yeah, I don't fucking know. But it's not really my fault, is it? 'Cause people don't tell me shit. Don't expect me to forgive him if he doesn't give me a fucking good explanation."
We finally arrived at the new Avengers base. Peter looked out the massive windows, amazed. But his grip on my wrist didn't loosen up.
-"Oh, there they are." Stark.
I felt Peter hold me a little tighter.
-"You know, Pete. If you crush my wrist, it's not going to do anything." I whispered.
-"Stop behaving like a kid and maybe I'll let you go." He whispered back.
I groaned. "Fine."
He let me go.
-"Give me a minute with the kids." Stark told Happy.
He playfully punched Peter on the arm. "Sorry I took your suit..." Was I hallucinating? Did Tony Stark just apologize to Peter? "You screwed the pooch hard..." Of course, Tony Stark couldn't just apologize, he had to explain himself. He couldn't just say he was wrong. "I was wrong about you..." Okay, this time I had to pinch myself. I wanted to leave and run away but at the same time, I wanted to show Stark that he couldn't just boss me around, and Peter was finally given recognition so I wanted to be there for him, be there with him. Dang you, Stark. I didn't try to listen to the conversation but when I heard; "Introduce the world to the newest member of the Avengers..." I stopped and looked up. Before Peter, there was a suit, brand new. "So after the press conference, Happy will show you your new quarters, your room. I gave you the one next to y/n. Hope you like it."
It took all my strength not to tell him that there was no way I would stay there. But this was Peter's moment. I'd have all the time in the world to punch Stark a few times after.
-"Thank you, mr. Stark. But I... I'm good."
Ha! Touché. Wait what? Peter just rejected the offer he's been waiting for his entire life? Even Stark couldn't believe it.
-"I'd rather stay on the ground for a little while. Friendly neighbourhood spiderman. I have friends." He looked at me and I smiled. "And I want to be with them. I'm 15. And someone has to look after the little guys right?"
Stark couldn't believe it, and to be honest, I couldn't either. "Okay, well Happy will take you home then."
Finally. I turned away, patted Peter on the back. "You're a good guy, Peter Parker. But that was the offer of your life. You can accept it."
-"I realized a lot of things, y/n. And I don't want to be an Avenger for now. I can still live a little bit, go to school, save New York from the bad guys. I don't need to be an Avenger for that..."
-"Y/n, stay here, please." Tony called me.
-"Try not to kill him, please. The world needs Iron Man." Peter joked.
-"The world doesn't need Iron Man, it has spiderman. But anyways, I'll never make a promise that I can't keep, you know."
He shot me a menacing stare and I raised my hands in the air, mouthing the word fine.
-"That was a test, right?" He asked Stark. "There's nobody back there?"
-"Oh... Yeah. It was a test. You passed."
I stood there kind of awkwardly, waiting for Stark to finish talking with Happy. The door opened and a beautiful woman came out. I could hear the reporters. So it wasn't a test. Stark just didn't want Peter to know how desperate he actually was. I developed an instant liking for the woman as she started reprimanding them. I zoned out after I saw her kiss Stark. I didn't like the man, but it was nice to know that maybe I would have an ally.
Did she know about me? They were about to leave, closing the door behind them but Stark turned back.
-"Y/n. Come here."
I walked slowly to where he is. I followed him inside the room, blinded by the flashes of the cameras. He walked me to the stage, placed both of his hands on my shoulders and announced loud and clear.
-"Ladies and gentlemen. The surprise you've all been waiting for. This is my daughter, y/n."
What the fuck.
Okay, so I'm often writing this book when I'm at my cottage. And when I'm back home, I put it on Wattpad, so that's why sometimes there's a long wait on these chapters, but there are not many people reading this, so I haven't had any complaints (yet?). I kinda hope that with my future books, people will come back to this one and give me feedback or that I will come back and see my improvement.
So yeah, there's going to be one more chapter to this book and then I'm done! Yeah! I already started my bucky+loki xReader, I'm about 8 chapters in. But I'm still going to publish the last chapter of this book before I start other stuff.
And have you seen the Black Widow movie? The end credit scene got me thinking that it might be an introduction to Hawkeye (the tv show). Aaah! Can't wait for all the Marvel content coming up! :)
