chapter 14

Sehun POV

Ugh... This damn sunlight. I want to sleep more. Wait- kai was here. Is he gone? Sehun rushed out to see him. As soon as he came out he saw kai still sleeping. How did he manage to sleep on this small couch?

Sehun took a place on the table.

Wah... How can someone look so handsome and dangerous at the same time? He's unpredictable. Sehun suddenly remembered something. He touched his lips and blushed.

But he doesn't remember? The talks we had on call? *sigh* whatever. He was so still. He isn't even moving. He is alive, right? Is he dead or what?

Sehun placed his ear on kai's chest to hear his heartbeat. Even hearing kai's heartbeat this close he still can hear his heart beating. What's happening sehun?  Are falling for him? HIM? LIKE HIM? seriously? Of course not, right? What if...? Wait why I'm feeling a hand going through my hair? Wait-no I'm still on his chest? Shit.....

"You woke up?" kai said in his deep voice. Sehun looked up to him. "Uh... I thought you died so I was just checking in case you're alive?" sehun cleared his throat.

"Oh really? So if you're done checking whether I'm alive or not, would you mind getting up? I'm okay if you don't want to." kai asked while ruffling his hair. Sehun cleared his throat and straightened up.

"Good morning." kai smiled. "Mm... Morning." sehun stuttered and rushed to his room. Kai grinned. Kai freshen up earlier than sehun. So he decided to make breakfast.

He entered the kitchen, the place he barely enters. He observed the kitchen first. He didn't get what he needed. So he eventually gave up. All he could prepare was a glass of water.

Sehun came out of his room drying his hair with the towel. He saw kai standing in the kitchen. "What are you doing?" sehun took a place on an empty chair.

"Uh...oh... I was trying to make breakfast?" kai turned to sehun. "So where's breakfast?" sehun raised an eyebrow. "Haha... I couldn't." Kai laughed in embarrassment.

Sehun chuckled. "Let it be, I'll do it." sehun stood up. Kai nodded. Sehun started preparing things for breakfast. Kai was just wandering around him. One thing he was missing was tea powder.

He looked for it. It was placed right on the upside where he was standing. As he was cooking something he asked kai. "Kai can you please give me tea powder, it's up here." he gestured.

Kai nodded and step forward to grab it. Sehun turned to get something. But he bumped into kai who was taking out tea powder. Sehun loosed his balance and eventually, kai held him.

They got stuck in time. They looked at each other intensely. Sehun crumbled kai's shirt. Kai tightens his hands. Sehun came to their senses. He cleared his throat. Kai looked away and took the tea powder and placed it on the table.

Kai leaned on the kitchen and watched sehun. Kai looked at him so pleasingly. "What?" sehun asked. "How do you know cooking? Like you're orphan- uh sorry." kai's tongue slipped.

"It's okay... I'm used to hearing it. Well, I learned cooking from a lady. She used to come frequently to my orphanage. She always taught me to cook, unlike others. But then one day she stopped coming. I asked my teacher there, they said she died in an accident. Sad I couldn't meet her one last time." sehun's were eyes almost tearing up.

Kai patted his shoulder. "It's okay." sehun smiled. "Let's eat, breakfast is ready." Kai was texting someone while having breakfast. Sehun found it annoying.

He knowingly placed a glass of water in front of kai which made a loud noise. "Uh. Sorry." kai kept his phone aside as sehun was eyeing the phone.

After having breakfast, sehun was packing his bag. "I'll drop you." kai sounded. "No it's okay." sehun denied.

"I'm dropping you, no more discussion." kai stated. "huff" sehun sighed. "You're not going to take bath?" sehun asked. "At home." kai replied. Sehun nodded. "Okay."

They left the house. Just when they reached the gate suddenly a car stopped in front of them. Sehun startled. He hid behind kai. Kai pulled his hand. "It's okay." Joon came out of the car and bowed. Kai nodded and soon left. Kai held car door for sehun. Sehun was dumbfounded and got in.

Kai started driving. Sehun just kept staring at him. Kai suddenly glanced at sehun. Sehun looked away. "Ask what you wanna ask?" kai smiled. "Who were they...?" sehun hesitated. "Ah? You still thinking of that?" kai sighed.

"Yeah... Of course. It all happened in front of my house and it included... you too." sehun had flashbacks." So, are you worried about me?" kai smirked. Sehun was about to argue but then he realized what he said.

"Uh. Ahem... I'm worried about my...um... F-front yard? Yes, my front yard." sehun smiled in embarrassment. "Sure." kai nodded teasingly.

"Um... What if they came again? Like in your absence?" sehun asked worriedly. "I'll figure it out, don't worry." kai thought about it deeply.

"Yeah better do it." sehun rolled his eyes. "Yes sir." kai ruffled his hair. Sehun blushed. "We have reached, get out." kai shushed him while undoing his seatbelt.

Sehun hit kai on his shoulder. "Yah! What do you mean get out? I didn't want to come with you in the first place." sehun babbled. Kai got out and held a door for sehun. Sehun huffed at him.

"Byeee sehunieee." kai teased. "Fuck you." at last sehun chuckled seeing kai like this. Kai got back in the car. He drives to his house.

Sehun POV.

He has such a headache sometimes. Huh, what's with this dropping and picking me up from work? I thought that we won't meet each other after our date? Like a fake date.

He said we won't meet each other and now I still have to act like we're dating. Like I'm not complaining. I'm totally fine with it.

It's good that we met? Sehun was siting on his chair. Two customers came to pay. "Here's your bill." sehun handed them the bill.

Two guys were gossiping about something which sehun overheard accidentally.

"Do you know? The city police department has finally arrested the biggest mafia of china?!" the first guy sounded

"What? Really? What's his name?" the second guy asked.

"Ayy... They are mafia even cops won't dare to leak their identity." the first guy said.

"But I heard they still investigating, they don't have any solid evidence against him yet." the first guy said.

"Whatever, why to care?" the second guy said.

They did the payment and left the cafe. But their gossip made sehun fall into deep thought. He is surrounded by mafia friends. What if the mafia is one of his friends.

He denied negative thoughts and tried to think positive. But what if he is.....?
