"a deadly and dangerous pair"
Allow me to tell you a story about a girl with fire in her veins.
All over Ravka and even beyond its borders people rumored that the girl is an ancient being that has taken a form of a young girl to either protect the country or destroy it. Others believe that the girl is an amplifier, just like the Darkling, and that is the reason why she is so powerful.
However, none of the rumors were true yet people even to this day believe in some of them.
She was feared. And why wouldn't she be? In the eyes of the whole Ravka, Katerina Kozlowski was considered to be the most powerful Inferni. In her own eyes, the red-haired woman believed that she was different, yet she never thought to put herself higher than needed.
Though with time it became difficult when people considered her to be the second most dangerous Grisha after the Darkling. Hence why the girl is the only other Grisha, other than the Darkling himself, that was allowed to wear black-colored kefta. Adorned with red embroidery, showing that she was an Inferni.
Already at a young age, Katerina showed great control over her powers and her loyalty did not stay far behind. Wherever General Kirigan went, the red-haired beauty shouldn't be far behind. The Darkling and Inferni made a deadly and dangerous pair and Saints forbid if something happened to either of them.

' let's get this book on the road, shall we? I am actually really excited about this story.
the first two chapters maybe will seem a bit boring but I tried to make them as interesting as possible. it seems that all my fanfictions suck at the beginning and then the story gets better in further chapters. oh well.
