<***>

I woke up to a kiss on my nose and light weight around waist. "Good morning, sleepy." Karl's voice came, all sweet and chirpy. I slowly opened my eyes, seeing him straddling my waist, wearing his Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned and his light green underwear, under the loose shirt was a green bra to match his underwear that I hadn't noticed last night.

"You look cute." I grumbled, closing my eyes and grabbing his hand.

He giggled and tugged on my covers. "You have to be in the lobby in an hour." He told me quietly, running his hand over my chest.

I whined and wrapped my arms around his lower back. "Lay with me."

"How about I'll lay with you when you get up?"

"Okay." I yawned and opened my eyes, climbing out of bed after Karl moved off me. "You tricked me." I groaned.

He smiled and stood up. "I'll make it up to you."

"How?" He thought for a moment, tilting his head to the side. "You look really adorable when you do that."

He scrunched up his nose at me. "I'll give you a hug."

"How does that make up for it?"

He shrugged. "People say I have really good hugs."

And he did, he knew exactly where to put his arms, how to scratch the back of my head, and most importantly, he was warm and comforting. Physically and mentally.

"Who's this?"

"This is my... This is Karl." I explained to coach.

"And what is Karl doing here?"

"He's coming with us." I looked down at Karl, he was in one of my t-shirts, a light blue shirt with a cartoon panda on the back, it was too big on him, stopping just barely above his mid thigh.

Coach shook his head no. "That'll be a distraction."

"Coach just let him, he hasn't had a boyfriend since middle school." Clay groaned, taking his phone away from his face.

"I don't care, he's not coming."

"Then I'm not playing." I felt Karl's hand slide into mine, he looked scared.

Coach scowled and sighed. "One time, this is the one time you can have someone on the bus."

"Thanks." I smiled and picked my backpack up off the ground, heading toward the bus.

Karl tugged on my hand as we were about to load in. "I don't have to come, if I'm going to distract you."

"You won't, it'll be fine, I promise." I kissed his forehead and led him into the bus.

"I live up the street from here." Karl stated quietly as we got off the bus in the parking lot.

Everyone on the bus ride here grew to love Karl, not just his amazing taste in music but also how much of a pure soul he was.
