[Prompt 29]
Captain Xian Zhang had landed on what he had thought to be his home planet, planet earth, after being stuck in a worm hole for over hundred years.
What it actually was, an Earth in a different dimension. This Earth, just like...
The young Yuanjian wakes up with a start; his night robes are drenched in sweat. He looks around. It's darker than night. He tilts his head towards heaven, wondering where he was and how he had gotten there.
"Rouhu!" He calls for his wife, but no one responds. He stands, hand subconsciously traveling to his waist to unsheath his sword. His fingers wrap around air instead of the hilt. Cold sweat runs down his spine as fear grips him. He leaves a shallow breath and takes a tentative step forward, hoping it to be the right one.
Instantly, the ground beneath him trembles, and the place floods with a blue glow. Two pods attached to a vine sprouting from the soil attract his attention.
He recognizes the pods. They were The Seeds that The First had left behind. The ones that would help their race start over again. 'Hadn't we lost them?' He wonders aloud, moving towards the pods. But just as he reaches for it, the pods open; two beams of bright lights, one blue and the other golden, leaves them. The man, as if mesmerized, follows it. He has barely taken a few steps when he notices familiar surroundings. 'The eastern grove.' He whispers, surprised, and continues to follow it out of the grove.
He looks around as the beams turn into a familiar street. The blue beam stills while its counterpart enters a highly decorated soldier's home through the open window. His feet lose contact with the ground; his body hovers inches above it before moving towards the window where the beam had disappeared.
The man watches as the beam enters a woman's body and disappears. Not wanting to intrude further, he turns around just as the blue beam starts moving again. He follows it to the Palace, where it enters into his sister's chamber. The man stops at the threshold, not daring to enter the place. He stands with his feet rooted to the floor, unable to move. As seconds turn into minutes, apprehension gives way to curiosity; with trembling hands, he reaches for the door, but before he can push it open, the scene fades into nothingness, and Emperor Wang YiLei's eyes flutter open. He looks to his side where his wife is sound asleep.
'It was a vision!' He concludes, leaving the bed in the dead of night, he makes his way to the Eastern grove. Once there, he leaves his guards at its outskirts and enters it. His feet carry him to the place he had found himself in the vision.
Sure enough, he finds what he recognizes to be the remains of the vine that must have held The Seeds. 'It has begun.' He mutters under his breath and watches as the vine turns to dust. Then, leaving the grove, he returns home.
After ten months, YiLei introduces his second son, prince YiHuang, to his council and citizens of TengFei.
