For the selfless,

I know, I'm not the one you need,
So, was that the reason why you let me bleed?
Left me drowning on the ocean's floor,
You killed me using the phrase, “I don't love you, anymore”

I tried to hold back the tears,
I want to kill all my doubts and fears,
It wasn't me from the start,
I never owned any of your part, neither your heart.

I saw you with her yesterday,
I heard, you're having a car ride with her every sunday,
You're doing the things you also did with me,
Does that mean, you're much more happy with her company?

You never again asked and brought me up around,
I'm no longer feeling your presence even, when we're standing on the same ground,
You're his knight and shining armour,
How lucky she is, she couldn't ask for anything more.

I'm always wishing for your happiness,
On the other hand, I'm being the selfless,
I hope, she'll treat your better than I can,
Be happy with her, my man.

I cried again last evening,
I woke up wounded the next morning,
I realized that, above all the love I've showed and gave,
They ended up all unappreciated, and worst wasted.
