Dear Shuzo,
I'm sorry if I never replied to the letter you sent me a few months ago. I'm doing fine now. Been having a hard time with the third semester finals but I'll do my best. How have you been? How's your father's condition? I hope things turn out well for him.
I want to apologize for calling you those words on that day. I never meant them. I hope you can forgive me. I forgive you as well. It wasn't our fault that things turned out this way. I don't want to make this sound too dramatic so I'm leaving it at that. But know that I'm in a better place now and I hope you are too.
I'm studying at Seirin High. I made a lot of new friends and they're the best I could hope for. I had some minor conflicts with them a few weeks ago but it was all solved now. I also almost fell in love with one but we both agreed to let each other go. It was for the best anyway. You were right. We can't let our happiness be dependent on one person. I guess I still haven't found the answer to my happiness. But I'll get there soon!
I'm sorry if I couldn't save your teammates from their downfall. I heard about their results on the Nationals two months ago. It was brutal. They destroyed their opponents in the worst way possible. Kuroko quit the team afterwards. I hope they overcome this in the future. I also hope I could get the chance to be friends with them again
Anyway, before this gets too long, I just want to thank you for everything. Thank you for the memories and for making me happy for almost a year. Let's keep in touch!
Aoki Maeko
P.S. I know you're asking if I already found a new boyfriend. Nope and not planning just yet. I have to pass my finals first haha ^-^ But I'll tell you once I find one. Hope to meet you and your girlfriend in the future! Say hi to her for me 😊
Shuzo reread the contents of the letter a few more times. He smiled and sighed in relief. I'm glad you're feeling better now, Aoki Maeko. You're one of the strongest people I know.
Sitting on his chair, he took a piece of paper and began to write.
