When Virgil woke up the next morning, Roman was gone from his side. Wondering where his husband had gone, he got out of bed, holding his stomach as it ached, and left the bedroom. Heading downstairs, he heard the front door open and close, smiling when he got to the bottom of the steps and saw Roman. Without saying anything, he walked over and hugged him, resting his head against his chest. Roman dropped the bag he'd been holding and wrapped his arms around Virgil.

"Sorry. I'd have left a note but I thought I'd be back before you woke." he explained, kissing his lover's head.

Virgil looked up at him with an understanding smile.

"It's good that you're awake though, Vee. Guess what I bought from the store."

Roman had an excited smile on his face as, before his husband could respond, he pulled a box of two pregnancy tests out of the bag he'd dropped before.

"I figured that we should check you really are pregnant, not that I don't trust Aria's powers, I just want to be sure."

Virgil giggled and stood on his tip-toes, planting a kiss on Roman's cheek.

"Ro, just pass me the box. I'll do the test. I'll even do both to be certain."

He took the box from him and went to the bathroom to take the pregnancy tests, emerging ten minutes later. Upon hearing the bathroom door open, Roman stood from the couch where he'd been sat waiting. He looked at Virgil with a hopeful expression, which said boy returned with a small smile.

"They're both positive." he told him happily.

"Really? So it actually worked? This is amazing!"

He lifted his husband up, spinning him around happily.

"I can't believe we're really having a baby."

"I know. It's so weird to know that there's literally a human growing inside me. Weird but also really cool."

*Time Skip*

And so, nine months later, Roman used the diamond Aria had given him and summoned her as Virgil went into labour. As soon as she arrived, she used her magic to completely numb Virgil's pain, then grabbed a scalpel.

"I'm afraid a caesarean is the only safe way to get this baby out, but lucky for you, you'll feel no pain at all. Ready?"

With a nod from Virgil, she started the procedure. Before they knew it, loud cries filled the room, stopping once Aria had cut the cord and wrapped the child in a soft blanket. She recited a short spell, healing Virgil, then handed the baby to him.

"Congratulations. It's a gorgeous baby girl. What will you name her?"

The couple looked at their baby, both with tears in their eyes and fond smiles on their faces.

"Good question... Roman and I have been discussing baby names since the morning I took the pregnancy tests. We could never agree on a boy's name, not even once, but we've been on the same page about a girl's name the whole time. It only took us minutes to decide on it. We're going to name her Delilah, after Roman's grandmother who he never got to meet."

Aria smiled at him.

"Delilah... that's a beautiful name." she said quietly so as not to disturb the now sleeping baby.

Roman and Virgil both nodded in agreement.

"Welcome to the world, Delilah. Our beautiful baby girl..."
